  1. Depends on the size of your party. We have a family of 4 and have used uber the last few times. pre-pandemic this was around $125 but with the soring price of gas I have to assume it has gone up. Super convenient though. Never had an issue getting an uber post cruise either.
  2. have you logged into https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/? I was just on independence and had an offer for a free ocean view upon arrival in my room (which I booked). I have been getting the free inside stateroom mailers almost weekly.
  3. There is a cruise planner sale on now, which ends today I believe. I doubt you will see it lower than $69
  4. I have never had any FCC, I opted for a full refund for my 1 cancelled cruise.
  5. had no problem at all. Accent was a little thick but they were super friendly. Much easier if you use a lap top vs a phone.
  6. we were just there and paid $79 pp during a cruise planner sale. I'd 100% recommend it for that price. I personally would probably still buy it for $179 if that was the best price i could get. Watch Harr Travels video tour on youtube. If you like upscale beach resorts, upgraded chairs/towels, less people, great food and service it's for you.
  7. just there two weeks ago. It worked great. The island is unbelievable!
  8. pretty much always wear shorts and a polo to the MDR, maybe pants if its formal night. Always pants and a button down to a specialty restaurant. Never a jacket.
  9. i don't have a huge problem with this. We were just on independence and the stories from the staff about how long they went without a paycheck are really sad. Remember most of the crew are from nations who didn't bail out the average citizen. I left a little more at bars, restaurants, and my stateroom attendant than past pre-covid sailings.
  10. Harr travel is great. Danny called me while he was on a celebrity cruise, booked me while on board and got us the extra on board credit you only get when booking on board. His you tube videos of ship tours are the best too!
  11. keep watching it. on my recent sailing it was $179 and went down to $80 during a sale
  12. If you can get a deal on Coco Beach Club (We were just there for $80pp) I can't imagine a better way to spend your day. The beach club restaurant is spectacular.
  13. we always buy the key. Its definitely not for everyone but we find a lot of value in it. We always buy wifi so its a no brainer for us. Priority boarding is awesome, we just sailed on independence and walked into the terminal at 11:30am checked in at the key priority desk and walked on the ship...awesome. Boarding day lunch at Chops is very nice. My son is super active and lives on the flowrider. The keys times for the various activities allow for a shorter line to enjoy more time. You will see 2 or 3 times during the week for each of the activities (flowrider, rock wall, zip line etc). When the ships are back at full capacity the reserved show seating is very nice. On disembarkation day you will walk past all the people lined up to get off the ship and be on your way. If you can get it for $22 or $23/day I recommend the purchase.
  14. when my son was 9 or 10 he literally ordered steak and fries every night you can also order more than one item if you can't make up your mind...the only rule is leave with a full belly
  15. first night is very casual. You are never out of place in nice shorts in the MDR. We never go to the windjammer for dinner. The MDR is good, specialty dining is great. I was just on independence and rooms were ready at 2:00PM and luggage was waiting for us.
  16. I just got off independence and Harmony was docked with us at Coco. I think Indy was around 60-70% capacity so I assume Harmony was about the same. It was not busy. The island was built to accommodate up to 12000 I think I read somewhere.
  17. i have used uber several times. Pre pandemic it was around $125 for an uberXL. Very convenient.
  18. Nice shorts and a collard shirt is perfectly acceptable in the MDR. On formal night I wear long pants but never dress formal...thats for work!
  19. I called Mlife and gave them my Crown and Anchor # and they linked my plans. I was upgraded 1 level on Mlife with my crown and anchor points.
  20. I always buy the DBP even for my wife who doesn't get her moneys worth based on the math in this post. I like the convenience, I can prepay for all on board expenses and never get the dreaded final night shocking total because we've been racking up charges all week. I'm sailing on Feb 18 and paid $62/day on Indy and for my July Mariner sailing the best I've seen is $68
  21. Port Canaveral is less than an hour from MCO. I would definitely grab an Uber to PC vs stay near the airport and go the next day. Lots of hotel options near the cruise terminal. We usually stay at the Residence Inn right across from the Port. They have a shuttle to the cruise in the AM.
  22. i get a couple fried eggs, pan fries, bacon, toast. They have pancakes for the kids. Give it a try sometime.
  23. we always grab our kids deserts if we are lucky enough to have a date night at Chops! As other posters have mentioned they will basically wrap up 1 of everything
