  1. Woohoo! Progress! Today we're getting our tile and coping. They are in the process of tacking up a guide line for the tile. I'm sure this helps support the weight of the tile as it dries too.
  2. +1 for Michelle! She always gets back to me so quickly!
  3. And on the opposite side of the spectrum from @teddy, I was getting woozy just reading your explanation.
  4. I'm not sure this is it - our city outsources inspections to a 3rd party company, and they have been able to come out next day so far for previous inspections. However, with a lot of people potentially needing replacement plumbing from burst pipes inspected, I can't say that's not it. The PM called back. He said the tile crew was finishing a job and we are next on the list, so it should be "any day now". He did tell us at the beginning that tile and stone work were the hardest to schedule, so overall I'm not really surprised. Just ready to see some more work getting done.
  5. So I have absolutely nothing to report. No one came out last week. DH texted the Project Manager yesterday morning with no response. He texted again this morning, and nothing yet. Hope he's ok, but I would think the office would call us if something serious was going on. Tile and stonework are showing as scheduled in the builder's website, but, of course, there are no dates listed. If nothing else, this experience has taught me that I'm really not as patient as I thought I was.
  6. White, coconut, and dark rums with pineapple and orange juice.
  7. What's the website, or where can I find a link on RC's site? I don't think I have ever seen a link on RC's site, but I haven't really looked for it before.
  8. I told my TA which one I wanted to apply it to. This was one of those first round of cancellations, and back then it was tied to the FCC for the cruise fare - they both had to go to the same sailing. I'm not sure if that is still the case or if you can apply a fare credit to one cruise and a cruise planner OBC to a different sailing.
  9. I took the 125% on a cruise that was supposed to sail in May of 2020. The credit is applied to a specific sailing and is used like any other on board credit. You can purchase anything in the cruise planner with it.
  10. I love how this contradicts itself by saying you can meet indoors without wearing a mask and that you should continue to wear a mask. I'm not sure it can really be considered guidance if they're still on the fence.
  11. Ugh! So sorry Joe! I hope it's not as angry, and that it at least feels better without the built up scar tissue.
  12. We have new electric panels by the pool equipment. They grounded the heck out of everything, and the backyard is torn up still showing the exposed conduit and copper grounding wire. I think an inspection happens before it all gets covered up. Not a fun picture necessarily, but here it is.
  13. We've got a big Alaska land cruise in June '22, so we booked the April 23, '23 sailing.
  14. Thanks for taking the time to post about your experiences. It looked amazing! What did your dad think?
  15. We've had a couple of dry days, and the plumber came back out to add some more equipment to the pad. Hopefully the electrician makes it out today or tomorrow because we have more rain in the forecast on Friday and again on Tuesday. In the meantime, I may have booked a 2BR Aquatheater on Allure. 781 days to Star Class!
  16. I hope that's just a test price on the Allure sailing too. Liberty 7 day prices are 1/3 of what's in the picture.
  17. Nah, that size hail is normal with spring storms around here.
  18. From winter weather to storm season in Texas. This time the white stuff is dime to nickel size hail.
  19. I am so sorry, Joe. I hope you have some miraculous healing overnight.
  20. The frozen tundra of Texas has thawed out, and work has resumed. The plumbers showed up around 3:00 yesterday afternoon to finish digging the trenches for the pipes manually. They also brought some of the equipment out. The project manager stopped by this morning and said the plumbing should be finished today. We have rain in the forecast this week, so he's not sure if the electrician will make it out before next week. DH's grill should be on the way. He received daily updates from the company about shipping delays due to the weather, but he hasn't heard a thing since it warmed up. He's going to follow up with them today. I'm going to lose my spot in the garage soon. Stonework should start by the end of next week, and our patio furniture will be taking my car's place for a bit. We may leave it there until after plaster to keep it clean. I'm excited that things have started moving again!
  21. The sailing isn't complimentary. Just $75 off with 1-4 comped nights in Vegas depending on the hotel. Like I said, I'm pretty far down the casino's player ranks though. I'm sure there are better offers for those further up the club status chain.
  22. Yesterday I received an email from Casino Royale about their current promo with M Life. Basically book a cabin on certain dates/ships and receive complimentary nights at a MGM property in Vegas. I looked closer at it this morning and noticed the sail dates. The first is on Mariner at the beginning of October - a 4 day to CocoCay. The second sailing is Symphony at the end of October - 7 day Eastern Caribbean and CocoCay. Several ships in November, Liberty being one of the last to start (along with Allure) at the end of November. The email also said the offer could be applied to any sailings between October 2021 - February 2022. Does this look like a clandestine hint that sailing won't start up until October, or am I reading too much into it? I don't generally look at the Casino Royale emails I get because I'm too far down the ranks - it makes more sense for us to book dates that are convenient for us and not a specific sailing, so I wasn't sure if they usually advertise dates that are closer in or this far out.
