  1. My Thanksgiving cruise it's sitting at $52/day too..seems like the holiday cruises aren't going to catch the pricing breaks.
  2. Yes, you will be able to order these drinks from the wait staff. They will usually take your card when you order. There used to be dedicated drink waiters but now it's handled by the waitstaff, so it may take longer than one would expect to receive their drink. I would suggest swinging by a bar on the way into the MDR and grabbing a drink. Then go ahead and order another one when they take your order in case it takes awhile.
  3. https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa.htm This site is pretty informative but it appears that you apply for the 72/144 visas when you arrive in China. You would do that when you get in from your flight. I don't see there's a way to get that process taken care of ahead of time, so you will have to deal with the wait in Beijing. The only way to avoid that is to visit your local Chinese embassy and pay for the full tourist visa or go through a broker that handles it for an extra fee.
  4. Costa Maya..the port area is massive and although it's a very theme park-ified version of a port, there is a lot to keep you entertained within the confines of it including a pool. It is also extremely easy to walk through the port to the taxi area and for $4 per person take a tram shuttle ride to Mahahual where you can walk the boardwalk along the beach and grab drinks or some food at any of the beachfront restaurants or resorts. Then just hop a taxi back to the port when you're done.
  5. Roatan for me as the port shopping area is not very big and there's hardly anything outside of the port that is within easy walking distance.
  6. Soda in the Diamond Lounge comes from cans. You can get mixer juices but you are going to be limited to what they have on hand. Soda at other venues where you want to redeem your coupons will most likely be from a can as well but some bars do have the soda guns and sometimes they end up using 2-liters.
  7. I don't think either exist right now on Radiance. It was the crab shack in 2014.
  8. I am of the opinion you can give away your 3 free drinks..just like you can give away a drink you buy..but you can't give away a drink you got on the drink package and you can't take drinks out of the DL to give away.

  10. Anywhere that offers them except for the onboard Starbucks. So the MDR, specialty restaurants, Cafe Promenade, Park Cafe. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/09/29/where-get-coffee-royal-caribbean-cruise
  11. You are free to do whatever you want with your 3 free drinks each night. You could just get your drinks from the Diamond Lounge and enjoy the other 3 drinks with the rest of your cabin mates.
  12. If for some reason only one adult wants the deluxe drink package, make sure to book one adult in each room to avoid buying two deluxe drink packages. Another bonus of having two rooms there.
  13. No, it is tied to the individual cruiser's status.
  14. YOLO! Harmony - May 9, 2019 Oasis - November 24, 2019
  15. This particular cruise has special circumstances as the ship will be repositioning from Miami. The prior sailing on your ship will be debarking in Miami that morning. They have to get all of the passengers off and clear the ship and then set sail for Ft. Lauderdale for your embarkation. That's why the sail away time is so much later for this one. Allure may not even arrive to Ft. Lauderdale before noon the date of your sailing. You can arrive before your check-in time as Royal doesn't pay attention to that on US sailings, but you probably don't want to show up at 11am for this sailing. You won't have to deal with prior passengers debarking from your terminal so it will be a little calmer, but since hotel checkout is around 11am-noon, I can imagine people will start showing up around then. I suggest you pack your patience that morning ?
  16. Miami Vice is usually a pina colada and strawberry daquiri swirled together or poured side-by-side or in layers if they're too lazy to swirl it all fancy-like.
  17. Paradise Beach is only $3 per person and then they request you spend at least $10 each on food and drink. That's not entirely unreasonable at all and they have clean change rooms, restrooms, a pool, and the beach.
  18. A lot of people mention Daniel Johnson..usually they can make a custom excursion for you that runs about the same as you would have paid Royal Caribbean. You'll have your own group and be able to do whatever you want to do. I know at the sloths visit they have boats that can take people our snorkeling, but if you want to visit a specific beach or area to snorkel they can take you there. Just contact them through their website: https://discoverroatan.net/daniel-johnsons-monkey-sloth-hangout/ They're pretty reputable and I haven't heard any bad things about them not being able to get you back to the ship in time. They will allow plenty of time for that. The worst part is meeting your driver at the port as right outside the exit of the port it's only a two-lane road and that's where EVERYONE is meeting their tours. But once you find them (they'll have a sign) you hop in a vehicle and they whisk you away. I think they recommend the sloths visit first because they let them rest in the later part of the day.
  19. Chill Grill will be for everyone at no charge, cabana or not. Not sure about the self-serve beer station as I'm not sure if this is similar to the self-serve wine stations that dispense the beer or just a fridge/cooler type access. I know the self-serve wine stations some of the ships had didn't accept the drink package. But the drink package will work at any of the full service bars on the island and the cabanas should have drink service where a waiter will come take your order and deliver it to the cabana.
  20. There's really no overlap between The Key and Diamond benefits other than priority embarkation, so it really depends on if it would be worth it for the other benefits (embarkation lunch, dedicated activity times, reserved section at shows, carry on luggage storage, internet package, etc.)
  21. I guess the virtual room tour excursions are sold out for now. ?
  22. I never tried room service coffee on Anthem but the La Patisserie coffee is a step up from the self serve in the Windjammer. They have espresso-based specialty coffees and they state they use Starbucks..but it's like any restaurant that states they proudly serve Starbucks..just using the branded beans. Anthem also had a specialty coffee bar in the Windjammer and Cafe 270..so that gives you a chance to hop around to find your favorite option. I think those 2 used Seattle's Best.
  23. Air2Sea will either hold the ship up for you or fly you to meet the ship if something happens with your flight. I would call and ask about possibly arranging something early and point out how close that is cutting it and see if they can do anything.
  24. I see that they resolved the issue, but I don't see how they admitted they were in error. Actually looking at what you quoted it appears they very carefully side-stepped admitting to an error. They even stated you were the one with issues ? I find corporations' attempts to CYA pretty hilarious most of the time. They honored the original price and offered up some FCC..sweet deal..way to stick it to the "man" ? For what it's worth..I checked a cruise planner of mine and it said From $89.99 but NONE of my days even have an $89.99 spot available..guess they all got snatched up already if they existed. Nothing with Royal's pricing surprises me anymore..and I know to always check and double check before I click checkout, especially with them.
  25. In all fairness..that is only one day selected that is showing prices.. There could be $89 figures on the other days. Is it a deliberate, intentional marketing strategy? More than likely..and it isn't unique to Royal or the cruising industry.
