  1. Did Izumi have it’s own bar that you can try that drink without dining there? It looks delicious and I’d love to see if they could make a mocktail version!
  2. For those with experience, which do you consider to be more comfortable for an adult - the Pullman or the sofa bed? And since bed comfort is as subjective as food, if you could add in what you like in a mattress when you answer, that would be super super helpful! Thanks so much in advance!
  3. I wouldn't count on it in the smaller ships. When I was on Enchantment in November, I was only able to get fresh squeezed OJ in the MDR. I asked in the WJ and was told they don't offer it there on that ship. But that fresh squeezed that I WAS able to get in the MDR? SUCH a difference! I sounded like an idiot when my only reaction to it was "it tastes like an orange!!!!!" ? Of course that was my shorthand way of saying it tasted exactly like biting into a fresh orange, but looking back it was a silly thing to say.
  4. It used to be that you could sign up online for C&A before a cruise and be “pre-gold”. The way they run it now is that everyone is automatically enrolled after they take their first cruise. I’m not sure how old your daughter is, but if she lives in the same household as you (determined by address), I would email C&A ([email protected]) and ask them to enroll her before the cruise so you are sure she will match your status. They will not do status matching though if she’s an adult that lives elsewhere.
  5. Here is a table with the benefit comparisons for Casino Royale.
  6. Thank you! Btw quick note, your passion for Lady G is one of the reasons I'm super excited to try her out for Thanksgiving this year (well, that and the price!).
  7. Latter half of April of which year? I wish you could sort by date on Royal's site as it's sort of difficult to easily see the sailing gaps.
  8. That’s a great reminder @ThyriC! It’s funny because I have a VPN that I always use at airports and in hotels but for some reason it never occurred to me to also use it on a cruise. I will def make sure to use it when browsing in May though!
  9. I don’t know the answer to your question as I haven’t been to Ft Lauderdale yet (wooo May!) but I wanted to pop in to welcome you to (unlurking on) the boards!
  10. I admit I don't know how overpriced it is as I don't have kids, but I know that the Royal Gifts shop has on-board delivery options for some baby items like diapers and wipes if you wanted to save some packing space. See the baby tag here.
  11. Welcome @Jason12! We are more than happy to have you ?
  12. So through my internet sleuthing, I have come across pictures of the full bionic bar menu for alcoholic drinks. What I am looking for is some information on the nonalcoholic options available. I see that at the top of each page of the menu is the ability to filter drinks to show the ones with/without booze, but I just can't seem to find anyone who shared information about the other options. Can anyone share what they have seen from experience??? I'm just looking for some yummy, interesting mocktails besides fruit punch or a virgin mai tai.
  13. Same. The majority of the points I have accumulated is through me having it auto-running in a pinned tab in the background at work. I'll check in on it every half hour or so to make sure it's still spinning or see if I have to do anything with it.
  14. Just so you know, if you ever do a re-price of your fare, then that resets the clock for the 30 days of booking. That's how I got $100 OBC added to a Thanksgiving cruise I'm taking.
  15. @twangster I know you are in the middle of a(n amazing) live blog right now and that this request takes time, but when you get a chance, would you be able to reupload the pictures for this liveblog? There's not a ton of Grandeur content out there and your pictures are always amazing and very helpful! No rush, but I just wanted to see if it was possible. Thanks in advance!
  16. One device at a time. You will get a code that can be entered into as many devices as you want, as long as you log off of the other ones before you use it. I believe Royal uses logoff.com as an easy way to make sure you terminate a connection to free up that code to use on another device.
  17. @Johnny west also in the very worst case scenario if it DOES turn out that your wife's sea pass card can't buy a drink, you can still purchase one for her as long as you tell the bar tender you want to pay for it outside of the package as it's not for you.
  18. I don't have first hand experience with this, but that just seems like a lot of work just for royal to say no to your money. I would be shocked if this was the case. Royal isn't in the business of saying no to extra profit.
  19. I have found that if you get the refreshment package on sale ($18-20 is a good sale price depending on ship) then it is very easy to get your money's worth whether or not it's a port day. This is especially true if you will be getting mocktails or non-alcoholic frozen beverages as those add up rather quickly. Also, don't forget that bottled water is included with the package! I also grab a bottle of water from the bar for every drink I order. I'll bring the extra bottles back to the room to use for excursions or just drinking at night in the room.
  20. Because PA has absurd liquor laws, you might theoretically run into issues with the PLCB, but in reality I highly doubt they will notice or care. Just in case, I would keep your receipt until you are home. Letter of the law from PLCB.
  21. Just that imposed by your liver! In all seriousness, the main limit is not number of drinks, but cost it will cover up to. On Oasis/Quantum class ships it's $13 and all other ships it will cover up to $12. If you want to get a drink that costs above that (you will mainly run into this with wines), you can and you will just have to pay the price difference (plus 18%) on the drink. So a $14 glass of wine on Anthem would cost you $1.18. The only other limit I can think of is that they will generally only allow you to get one drink at a time to prevent you from buying drinks for other people using your package.
  22. From what I understand you can't bring fresh food off with you, but you could bring things like prepackaged granola bars, little cereal boxes, or prepackaged crackers. I know fresh fruit is 100% a no go. The sandwiches would likely be flagged, though others with more experience will likely weigh in with their thoughts.
  23. That sounds like an app issue to me. From what I’ve noticed in the app, it will sometimes get ports mixed up with other itineraries or days. I know I was scrolling through activities offered on a sea day for my May cruise and I saw mention of a sail away party with a DJ! At this point I am treating the app as a nice addition, but not a replacement for the cruise compass or what your emails and the cruise planner say.
  24. Did you just put the Internet package in your cart or did you actually checkout and pay for it using either a credit card or OBC? Just putting something in your cart doesn’t lock in a price. It’s just like leaving something in your cart on Amazon or some other online store. Until you check out, items in your cart are subject to price changes. The good news is that you can cancel purchases made in the cruise planner easily and without penalty up to normally 2 or 3 days prior to your cruise. This also translates to if you see a better price than what you booked, just go into your history and cancel the item that decreased in price and repurchase it at the new sale price.
