  1. We just got back on Sunday and I should be "graduating" to platinum. I know it's not such a large difference in benefits from gold, but I still wouldl ike the credit. About how long does it take after you get back for the points to reflect in your profile?
  2. We were on Oasis last week and the bartender made our kids frozen virgin coladas; we hadn't even asked.
  3. The same happened to me and they offered me future cruise credit. I didn't contest it, as we are sailing again in August and I can use it toward that.
  4. I bid verrrrry slightly above minimum on a 1 br Grand Suite and minimum on a 2 br Grand Suite on Oasis of the Seas. This was for the 5/15 sailing, which I believe sailed at about 90% capacity. I ended up winning the 2 br. There were other people in my sailing's FB group that bid hundreds higher on the 1 br that didn't get it. I'm not sure how it all worked out, but it seems like there's not always a rhyme or reason. Maybe the cabin you already have and how many people bidding on upgrading to that cabin type has something to do with it, as well as your own bid.
  5. They had a bar in the suite lounge on Oasis. If they didn't have something that you asked for they'd go to the main bar.
  6. I was just on from the 15-22. I think we had about 5400 on board. Enjoy!
  7. I just got back from Oasis and the bartender in the suite lounge made me a drink with elderflower liquer, vodka, sour mix, club soda, and a dash of strawberry puree for color. I don't like really sweet drinks, so I asked for it to be light on the elderflower and sour mix. It was very tasty; you could ask for more sour mix and elderflower if you want it sweeter. THey also had other liquers to make sweeter drinks.
  8. I'd love to see this as well; we are going in August.
  9. I'm so sorry that happened to you! Glad your son is feeling better. The new variant seems to be highly contagious, but relatively mild.
  10. We did it in 2019 with our (then) 5 and 7 year olds. They are picky eaters but it was a fun experience. I believe we had bought the 3 night dining package and our kids were free or very inexpensive, so it was worth it. They really loved the atmosphere: large and/or decorative chairs, eclectic silverware, interesting presentation of food, etc.
  11. We had gotten the glitch drink package for $17/pp, but it was for our May 2020 cruise that got cancelled. I was so sad. I highly doubt that mistake will ever be made again.
  12. So I'm glad for you that your COVID tests weren't an issue. It stinks that embarkation was rough. However, you are on vacation! So many other things to do on the ship. Have a wonderful time!
  13. Tested this morning via the proctored iHealth tests. We are all negative. Woohoo!!!
  14. My sailing is May 15 and many of us on that cruise found out this past Tuesday, so 5 days ahead. Some people find out after they've boarded. It is very arbitrary. I wasn't able to bid, but when I used my husband's last name for our same sailing, I was able to bid. Not everyone is "invited" to bid.
  15. No- reserve your check-in time first for everyone in your party. You can then go back and enter the rest of the info when you have more time.
  16. Agree 100% with this. I got the 2 br suite for a fraction of what it would have cost to book it, but some of the minimum bids on the higher-end suites cost more than booking it. I did mock bookings on the ones I was interested in bidding on to see what it would have cost had I booked.
  17. Yes. I am sailing May 15 on Oasis. I bid very slightly over minimum on a 1 br grand suite and minimum on a 2 br grand suite. I figured there's no way I'd get the 2 br since there are only 6 (I think?) on the ship, but I got it with the minimum bid. Found out on Tuesday- was totally shcocked. Good luck!
  18. So this is a bit of a PITA to make, but it was fun for me to make when it was slow and a customer wanted me to choose something to make, Plus, the name is pretty funny. Here's "Sex With an Alligator": https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/59789/sex-with-an-alligator/ Another one that is sweet but not fruity is a "Screaming Orgasm". I made these the night I met the man I married. 1 part vodka 1 part amaretto 1 part Bailey's 1 part Kahlua Add all ingredients to a shaker with a lot of ice. Shake vigorously and pour into a shot or rocks glass.. I am not a fan of sweet drinks, but I do like both of these.
  19. Have a great cruise! I'm dying to know if they accept the ihealth test results!
  20. That's what I was hoping, but just wanted to check. Thank you!!!
  21. I piggybacked off of the original post. We will be on the Oasis.
