Based on that info, it would be my expectation you would incur the $100 per person change fee fore the sailing date change.
What about the other money? We paid in full.

Good morning!,
So...I'm going to try to make a long story short but that's hard for me since I am wordy. Here goes:
My Mom and I planned a RC cruise on Liberty of the Seas for this October 14th - 21st. We booked it and my Mom paid in full and I paid her my 1/2. Don't get me started on her paying in full. I tried to stop her from doing this and explained to her that if she paid in full we couldn't lower the price if the price dropped but there is no arguing with my Mom. LOL
ANYWAYS, she called me last night and said that we'll need to move the cruise because she completely forgot that she had booked a trip with old high school girlfriends and that trip could not be moved.
So now we are looking at going on a different cruise. Same ship, different dates. Maybe just a week or two before the originally planned one. Question is...what will the penalty be for switching cruises if any? Without knowing anything about Royal policies and procedures on this my Mom just insists that Royal wouldn't charge us a dime since we are just moving the cruise from one date to the other. I explained to her that they are running a business and there probably would be a charge. Again...no arguing with my sweet Mom. LOL.
Thank you in advance for your answers/advice!

I've always booked on my own but I can see everyone's points in using a TA! I may do that next time.

Me too! Haven't been in a while so looking forward to see the changes. Bonaire never had cruise ships coming in before and their airport had goats on the runway! LOL
Oh wow! I've never been to these islands so these are new ports for us. We've heard COUNTLESS people talk about how the scuba diving is incredible in Bonaire so we are going to get SCUBA certified with our 15 year old son before we go on this trip. Any suggestions on where we should dive in Bonaire? It will not be a deep dive. My husband is lucky I agreed to the SCUBA certification. I've been telling him "HECK NO" for years. I won't ever do a deep dive. Ever. Only 25 feet max for me.

Not sure what ship is going out of San Juan to the ABC Islands (Aruba, etc) but we are on the Freedom of the Seas for June of 2019 out of San Juan for these islands and I'd love to read a blog about it. Anyone know the ship right now or where I can find a blog for this? Thanks!!!

Thanks, Lindsay! We actually use this at home all the time for the kids' clothes and my dress shirts. If my wife decides to bring a bottle of that in her suitcase, I may go this route.
You are most welcome! When you travel with that bottle just make sure nozzle is set to "X" (off) and I always tighten the head of the bottle and put it in a gallon ziplock just to be safe! :)

Agree with Tiny. Have them send you a new confirmation. They should have done that anyway. ALWAYS get a confirmation showing payments or added features.
Thanks y'all, I received a new guest invoice. It didn't line item the FCC which is frustrating. They only lowered the price of the cruise per person by $150 each for the FCC. So unless you look at a prior Guest Invoice and compare with the new invoice you can't tell what they did. I really wish they had purchase/credit history somewhere for us. Oh well.

Steaming is simply blowing hot steam through a garment as illustrated in this photo. Note t-shirt being steamed. Clothing is placed onto blue apparatus and hot steam then blows from inside the blue thing and through the garment. It takes about 15 seconds.
In the far right you can see a crew member's head as he operates a pressing machine. Clothes are laid on it, press is closed to complete the job. For pants and shirts a crease is created that you won't get when steaming.
That's cool!!!!!

I believe if you are booked in a Suite, that you will get free pressing for the first formal night. The wife and I were on Oasis the last week of Feburary in a ATS and we got the free pressing.
Yes, this is included for free for suite guests.

Garment bag is helpful but you could always just pack in a regular suitcase. And if you don't want to send out for pressing, Downy Wrinkle Release works AWESOME!!! Just hang your suit up as soon as you get your luggage, spray this on it and smooth the wrinkles but gently running your hand over the suit and pulling lightly on the fabric. You can also spray the stuff on and then use a hair dryer. Works like a charm on ALL clothes and does NOT make your clothes stiff. It actually has a nice smell to it (fabric softner smell). I bring it with me on ALL our cruises!!!! Hope this is helpful!

I hate the new website. Not user friendly AT ALL.

Do the Southern Caribbean Cruise!!!!!

By the way, this website is great for a first time cruiser. And Royal Caribbean is THE BEST cruise line! Here are some other websites you may want to check out:
- First and foremost, download the ShipMate app! You can find your cruise on there and it's awesome to talk to others in "Chat" that will be on your same cruise. There is also a count down. Plus, there is a feature where you can check out your ship and any other cruise line ships. It's a very cool app. Be sure to like them on Facebook too.
- http://royalportfolio.com/ <- AWESOME website showing all the Royal Caribbean ports, etc. I love this website!
And of course, make sure you go to the Royal Caribbean My Cruise page and enter your reservation #. You will have a dashboard there too. Lots more info there too!
ENJOY! One of my favorite parts of a cruise vacation is the planning and anticipation leading up to the cruise!

Yes, this is correct. Extra tip is discretionary. But always appreciated. If you are by the pool and someone brings you a drink...if you want them to come back - by all means TIP! They love cash of course. Who doesn't? LOL!
-
Where can you view payment history????
-
SUCCESS!!!!! $450 taken off the June, 2019 Cruise!!!!! YAY! Okay, now does anyone know how I can view payment history in the new My Cruises website so I can confirm it was deducted?

I've never been on one of the big Oasis Class Ships, but I've been on 3 cruises with Royal in their Freedom Class ships. This is the class right under the Oasis (huge ship) class. I love these ships. I've also been on 1 Royal Cruise that was their Voyager class. Very similar to the Freedom Class. Anyways, I love love LOVE the Freedom Class ships. About to go on my 3rd Royal cruise on Liberty of the Seas in October!
Here is a link that explains the different ship classes and what makes them all different: http://www.cruise-international.com/royal-caribbean-ship-class/
I hope this helps! Happy deciding! :)
I could call RC, but thought I'd ask here first...

Thanks y'all! Okay, just spoke to RC. It's $100 PP for the change fee. They are moving the balance we paid over to the new cruise but the new cruise is $297.98 more for the same room category (Spacious Ocean View Room). I kept telling my Mom not to pay in full. UGH. Oh well.
