  1. ^^^^This^^^^ Royal in general but look to others for specific itineraries that Royal may not offer.
  2. The only port on our May trip where we have booked excursions is Victoria. The only replacement port that would be a break even for us if if they added Sitka. Neither Ketchikan nor Icy Strait Point would be.
  3. And if you later decide that the best price you found is too high for your wallet you can always cancel and take the refund.
  4. I definitely recommend staying near the port rather than in Houston. You'll be able to select an earlier boarding time without getting up extra early to allow for transit.
  5. Our price threshold is any price we are comfortable paying for a particular item (value is in the eye of the purchaser). As noted above, there is always an option to cancel and repurchase at a lower price.
  6. We got in before the news broke.
  7. That was my thought as I was reading the quoted material!
  8. That's what I said!!!
  9. Law Enforcement Officer/Firefighter
  10. Note to self - have @WAAAYTOOOcheck on prices for me in the future.
  11. Another reason that using a good TA is recommended.
  12. Midnight buffet was so much more appetizing than Sorrento's (even at it's best).
  13. That's why we check - YMMV.
  14. The three layer drinks coming around at dinner time with the souvenir shooter glasses they came in. We have a nice collection of all the different colors in three different varieties. We're cruising in May with a group of 10. The plan is to have a pre-cruise party and you can be sure the shooter glasses will be on full display (i.e. in use).
  15. The "WOW" sale that just ended was a bit of a bust but check your prices now under the new "Go Leaps Beyond Your Bounds" sale. Price dropped $175 per person for aft-facing JS on Southern Caribbean in July (and another $332 lower price if we were willing to give up the aft-facing). Upgrading from Grand Suite 1BR to Owners Suite 1BR on Southern Carribean in June saved $40 per person for my wife and her friends (with an extra 50% more space).
  16. No cruises since the restart. We never have an issue with being stuck in crowded areas, but many (most?) passengers likely have.
  17. The extra time prior to being able to access the cabins means more time packed into the Windjammer, Schooner Bar, Solarium, etc. (more people close together for a longer period of time between boarding and dispersing to unpack).
  18. Thanks for the update on what the current cleaning/sanitizing protocol is on turnaround day. But does the extra time for fogging really minimize spread when that extra time means more of us close to more of us for longer on day one? Just a thought.
  19. I don't care how early we have to debark - breakfast is a must. If in a hurry, usually WJ or Solarium. If departing later, one last MDR breakfast.
  20. The firmness of the beds onboard is absolute heaven for me. Hotel beds are always too squishy (and don't get me started on the lack of support from their pillows).
  21. We decided to avoid the crush of people and parking traffic (as well as the morning rush hour) in Baltimore for our cruise on Grandeur. We enjoyed a leisurely morning of breakfast in the MDR and then relaxing on our balcony until they kicked us out of the stateroom about 9:30. Walked right off, breezed through customs, and would have been driving away by 10:00 if my wife's fairly distinctive bag WITH extra identifying ribbons hadn't been picked up by someone with a very similar (newer and less beat up) bag. Luckily, the phone number on that bag was a cell and the woman hadn't left the dock area yet and we were able to exchange bags.
  22. We got the standard Cruise Planner cancellation email but did not receive the info you posted. I'm on the line now hearing this exact info - waiting to find out if it's $20 per cabin OBC (which the rep assumed to be the case) or $20 per person who reserved the excursion.
  23. @PurdueFlyeris suggesting that as your response when they contact you again regarding payment. "Email? What email? I never received an email about that. Since I received the tests, I assumed everything was taken care of."
  24. The above may be true for you (and many others) but ANYTHING on my wrist is VERY noticeable. I have not worn a watch in nearly 30 years. When we went to Disney World last year, the "easy" way to do things would have been to wear the wrist band that acts as your room key, access to the parks, and charge account. I kept mine in my pocket and fished it out every time it was needed. I despise events that require a wristband to identify that you're entitled to enter/reenter - give me a physical ticket or stamp the back of my hand in some obnoxious color - anything but a wristband. The only thing I have "willingly" worn on my wrist would be hospital bracelets when I have had surgery, and those come off the second I don't have to have them on.
  25. During last week's price check, the Cas Abao excursion was still available for free. Today it is showing $49 per adult and $39 per child.
