  1. AA economy fares from where I live are sometimes $300+ each way for departures that don't involve missing sunrise because you're already in the air to a connection in Charlotte.
  2. Jalapeño and pineapple is my favorite (basic) pizza combination. Would even make Sorrento's more palatable, so I'll have to give this one a try.
  3. That's my go-to drink if I'm not on a mission to make every drink on the cruise something different (which is really fun to do).
  4. Still waiting for the OP to respond to any of the advice provided.
  5. You don't have to wait to receive the survey. Just click on the link provided by the OP and have at it.
  6. I still say that knowing the day of the week is meaningless for passengers. What we need to know is what day of the cruise we're on. I don't care if it's Tuesday or Wednesday. I DO care if it's Day 3 or Day 4.
  7. Where does Superman shop? In the supermarket. And Spiderman? He shops on the web.
  8. Required - no A good idea - yes, as explained by @SpeedNoodles and @WAAAYTOOO
  9. You must cancel the one already purchased first. System will not allow you to purchase again if already on the books.
  10. My point was to the OP complaining about paying "more" as a single, adding on to your comment that one is paying for the room as a whole. I was AGREEING with you, but you seem to have missed that point. Yes, the cruise industry DOES work that way. There is a minimum cost for the ROOM and you pay the full price whether there is one person in that room or two (C&A 340+ points is the exception). The difference between cruise cabins and hotel rooms comes into play when you add a third person (or more) to a room. The cruise fare is discounted, a hotel room is (typically) no additional charge.
  11. Think of it like a hotel room (which it is, but just happens to move from place to place). When I travel alone on business, I pay the same price for a hotel room as my wife and I would for the same room if travelling together for pleasure.
  12. I wouldn't dream of denying use of your beverage package and/or Diamond vouchers!
  13. If you pay for my cruise, I will gladly do this for you on (insert name here) of the Seas.
  14. The benefit to doing so is in case your phone inadvertently goes out of airplane mode. Because of a system alert, my phone briefly activated in Cartagena, Colombia and three text messages and two work emails came through before I could react. Cost wasn't crazy high but if it had happened when the phone wasn't on my person it could have added up (it was 5.5 days worth of stuff that could have come through and that would have been quite a bit).
  15. Check on what the pricing will be. Changing the reservation gets the whole thing repriced at the current rate. If the new price without the second person will be higher, you may want to just have that person be a no-show at departure. You will have to pay taxes and port fees for two at the time of payment but you'll get back those fees for the no-show.
  16. Do you know why the game is called "golf?" Because all of the other four-letter words were already taken.
  17. I've posed as both of my sons for this purpose with other companies. It works.
  18. I LOVE broccoli. How dare you only LIKE broccoli? You heathen!
  19. Apparently, there are some that are convinced Royal has gone too far. World’s largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas, labelled ‘monstrosity’ ahead of maiden voyage | The Independent
  20. Saw them holding children IN FRONT OF open windows, not OUTSIDE OF the open windows. The safety officer needs to be clear in emphasizing that point. Do we know people hold their kids up for a better view? Absolutely. Do we anticipate that people will dangle their children OUT of the window? No, because we expect at least a modicum of common sense.
