(However, toy swords are also banned on DCL)
The whip looks to me like it might have been purchased at a port of call and RCCL politely offered to store it for them until the end of the cruise.  I assume they were allowed to hold on to the hat and leather jacket, however.

Is that a sword??? Someone actually tried to bring a sword onboard? For what reason? To walk the Plank?????   ?

While the swords are confusing, I'm REALLY curious about the whip in the bag next to it. ??

Sometime's I've seen the confiscated items in the cruise terminal sitting on a table - usually it's mostly full with confiscated cables but every time I see the table there's always some genius who seems to have tried to bring an iron on board. 

It was in my packed luggage, so I had to go down to the naughty room on Deck 2 to retrieve my suitcase on Day 1...This was on Oasis in February.  Basically the same cord as Twangster's got nabbed.  
They set aside confiscated items for you to pick up at guest services during disembarkation, but we did self-assist and I didn't bother to wait in another line for a $5 item.

San Juan was where I had a simple 2 wire extension cord confiscated only to be replaced with the exact same style extension cord for medical use on board.  

Same cord made it on board in Miami just fine.
San Juan is tough.

Wonder if these guys will start getting picked on.

 
Know at Port Everglades and Cape Liberty this got detected in carry on. Port Everglades it would up being allowed, Cape Liberty confiscated.

I brought an 8 port  USB power supply in our carry on we were okay.  Did this on Oasis last July and Radiance this July.

I use a USB / Power block when we cruise. I've used it for the last several cruises without issue, but we always make sure to unplug it if we are not in the cabin.

Your best bet is to bring a USB hub

I wonder if they will confiscate the power supply that solely has muti ports for USB's.  They are awesome!

Did you pack it in your carry on luggage or in your boarding luggage? I also wonder what they do with all these excess confiscations.
