I foresee the backlash being too strong for the test to result in permanence. 

I'm not buying the food waste explanation. Either the food is on the ship and available or it's not...if it is on the ship it has a shelf life and it will go to waste at some point. If someone orders a second entree it has to be available...not taken out of a freezer and prepared. This is either a cost saver (reducing consumption and thus cost of food per sailing) or a revenue generator. Imagine being told you have to pay for more than one plate of food in the Mounthjammer...errrr...Windjammer?
When it comes to Holland America I sail on the Idontgiveadam.

I was going to ask yesterday about milkshakes and the DX package at JR Express.  Sadly I became stuck on my barstool in The Bamboo Room and it took several hours to free myself.   

Navigator was our first cruise ship, wow, has she changed! Looks absolutely great. It just saddens me that her itineraries for 2020 and 2021 are so short, 3 & 4 days, and they don't appeal to us. Would love to cruise her again, but we're booked out this and next year. 

Love the strings of white lights out on the pool deck.  Really nice touch!

Approaching midnight I found myself in The Bamboo Room drinking a Royal Zombie

Then it was time for the balloon drop.

I feel like I haven't been including as many photos as I normal do so here are some from our sail away.
Before the fun, comes the guest assembly drill.  


We start sail away with our cruise director "My Beautiful People" Hugo getting the pool deck rocking on this first sailing of the Amplified Navigator of the Seas:

We had to wait for a Carnival ship to turn her turn in the turning basin then it was our time. 
We sailed past the new Crown of Miami where Mariner was earlier on this day.


In this picture on deck 12 you can see where Johnny Rockets used to be but now there is a door and set of stairs leading up to the sports deck.



The sail away party kept rocking here on the rooftop of the Lime and Coconut





Back on the aft sports deck the Riptide water slide was going along with the Flowrider.

Several hammocks can be found back here.


And with that Voom has slowed way down so I'm pausing the picture fest and going to the Bamboo Room for a drink.

WOW !  What an incredible new pool deck.  I love that groovy-looking hot tub on the starboard side.  It looks like a completely different ship than the one I was on last year !

Navigator has fresh floral arrangements located around the ship.  They are quite large and very pretty.  I'm not sure I've seen fresh flowers like this before.  Nice addition.

I'm baffled that nobody is hanging out on the pool deck at night. Pool's open, whirlpool is open, bar is open, the space is beautiful, it's not crowded - it's sure where I'd be.

The "Stowaway Piano" has made it to Navigator.  First observed on Harmony and Symphony another example how Navigator is like a new ship.

Wish I had known as well.. Certainly not a game changer but I really enjoy those adults only pools... 

US citizens traveling to Europe will shortly need to apply fo an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) visa which is the new travel visa to visit Europe that will come into effect from 2021. Similar to other countries and regions in the world Europe has recently decided to improve their security level to avoid any further problems with illegal migration and terrorism. This means that from 2021, ALL American citizens traveling to a European Schengen-zone country will be in need of an ETIAS.
