Yes, I’m not sure I would have cancelled. I get you acted out of an abundance of caution and I applaud you for it. Just not sure he really needed to cancel. I hope Royal will do SOMETHING under the circumstances. Keep us posted.

I meant did he get a rapid response test in order to be able to sail. If the test was negative I would think he could sail. Or did he just assume he couldn’t.

I pack everything in dry cleaning bags. 4-5 items per bag. I don’t know why this helps with not wrinkling but it does. Also, when TSA invariably opens my checked bags (?), they don’t actually touch my clothes. I used to be a manager at a major retailer & would have the stock dept save all the large plastic bags that the towels came in for me. I have tons!!

Oh, that makes more sense. I would call back and ask for the resolutions dept. (someone may chime in here with a direct number). Certainly do not take the first answer from a CSR. The phone reps are notoriously uninformed. I assume your husband did not try to get a rapid results test?

Booked an 8 day on Explorer to get to Diamond. My TA said lots of folks doing the C & A math!

Suite snobs here. We tried a deluxe balcony cabin but it was too small and don’t get me started on the space capsule shower. And what the heck is the 3 in 1 stuff that comes out of the shower dispenser. You want me to wash my hair with soap? You want me to wash my body with shampoo? On purpose??? we have a JS booked on Explorer next October and seriously considering upgrading. Just not sure the JS will be big enough.

So far the only refunds allowed are for cruises where the protocols have already been announced. Protocols for next May are a loooooong way off. If you were to cancel now under CWC, you would receive FCCs in the name of each ticketed passenger. Who actually paid is immaterial.

My brother has not linked our reservations, only I did that and I was able to add them to our MTD reservations. Also had not yet added prepaid gratuities.

Not a fan of younger kids drinking, especially unlimited drinking. JUST MY OPINION. If you don’t want them to have the drink package, you can call RC and have them get the refreshment package instead.

Last night, while Red Sox were in rain delay, we watched an episode of Dream Cruises with a very similar itinerary. DR did not look good even on a show that really only shows good stuff. Daughter & hubby both said “don’t want to go there!!” So option #2 it is! Thanks for all the feedback.

Option 2 would put 2 sea days before & after the ABC’s. I actually kind of like that idea. Will there be enough to keep us occupied on Explorer? Is there an adults only solarium?

Be careful, if your original purchase included gratuities, that would be a $58 per day price with gratuities bringing the total to $67 per day. I would add it to cart & see the total before cancelling what you’ve already purchased.

No, there are at least a couple of shuttle services you can use that are not affiliated with the cruise line

My daughter pointed out that she gets seasick on smaller boats so any boat excursions are out.

We have not been to any of them so it would be all new to us! We like a nice relaxing beach (with drinks!) and like to putter around shops & restaurants. I actually like Costa Maya where I can browse to my heart’s content. We are not snorklers/divers.

I believe this has been the case on mix vaccinated cruises from the US from day one. And was it not also the case in Europe? I remember a family being disembarked for leaving a ship sponsored excursion in Italy.

For our 8 days getting us to Diamond cruise? Both are on Explorer out of Miami in Oct 2022 probably in a JS but hoping to upgrade! #1: Labadee, Dominican Republic, Curaçao (2pm-11pm??) and Aruba #2: ABC islands
