We have friends on the Sun Princess that was supposed to arrive in Ft Lauderdale on the 9th. They have been informed that their transatlantic cruise is being extended by 2 days due to Hurricane Milton. They are retired so they are just fine with it. I feel for everyone scrambling, whether new flights out or who were planning on getting on that ship tomorrow.

We usually do not book over holidays either but the Jewel of the Seas cruise starts when school is still in session and also ends the day after Christmas. It is a Radiance class ship so not as popular with families. For these reasons we believe it will have less kids. Also, the price was great for our aft balcony cabin.

Jewel of the Seas 10 nights out of Galveston starting 16 December 2024. Balcony is $1215 per person taxes included. That is $121.50 per night. Inside and Ocean View are even cheaper. We actually booked back in May for $1994 per person with taxes included ($199.4 per night).

Your hubby will love what my hubby and best friend did when they walked out onto the main floor of the Colosseum, they yelled "Are you not entertained?" The rest of us made sure we were quite a distance away as to not be associated with them. We could hear our guide say "Stupid Americans." over our headsets.

What is the name of that cafe? We will be staying at the Golden Hotel about a block away from the Marriott in September and that food looks awesome!

Voyager was our first Royal cruise back in 2012 and we will finally be on her again in September in Jr Suites with a B2B Rome to Athens to Ravenna. We booked the first day it was open in 2022 so got great prices of about 3000 for each leg. It is now double that for a balcony on a single leg. I understand about flight prices we ended up booking 2 airlines and spending the night to get cheaper Business Class. We fly DAL to LGA, Uber to JFK and fly JFK through Heathrow to FCO; then Venice to Heathrow to JFK, spend night and fly LGA to DAL all for about (including hotel) 3000 each. Our friends booked with a stop SAN in Canada for Economy Plus for the same price we got.

I checked my upcoming cruises and the 3 night package is actually $1 more expensive than the one I purchased due to the gratuities NOT being added into the advertised price!

We are cruising out of Rome for the second time. We always look for a hotel with an elevator for our luggage so I would suggest that. We stayed at Hotel Sonya near the train station several years ago. It had an old-fashioned elevator that people are saying now doesn't work very often so we are choosing a different hotel this time, Hotel Golden. Our cruise ends in Ravenna, so we are shuttling to Venice and staying at Palazzo Guardi. My research has shown that taking your luggage into Venice is very difficult, so we have reserved storage at Golden Luggage and are only taking a large backpack to the hotel.

They were celebrating National Bourbon Day so that is why it was so short.

Our B2B Mediterranean cruises on Voyager show a 53.99/day for Crown and Anchor members. Since we get 4 vouchers we are not doing this but I have not seen it lower in a long time.

You will also need the birth date for one of the people listed on that reservation.

Since our trunaround day is the only stop in Athens we have booked a tour so will be getting off the ship as soon as we can and I don't know if we will be able to that is why I asked about the previous week.

We are doing a B2B for the first time in September. We have booked the 3 night specialty dining package for the 2nd cruise. Has anyone tried to make reservations for the specialty restaurant dining on a 2nd part of a B2B while on the 1st part?

I just repriced our Holiday cruise on Jewel of the Seas and saved $398. I booked it 8 days ago so very surprised that Spacious Balcony price went down.

Royal Caribbean's Celebrity brand sent out an email that it would be extending the casino year for its Blue Chip casino through July 31, 2024. That means that existing members will hold onto their current tiers for seven more months as the year normally ends at midnight on Dec. 31.

The app chat feature is really unreliable. We had a group chat with the other couple we were cruising with and one of them never received the message and kept sending messages asking where we were and we never got them. It caused a bit of a stir so we made a pact of always texting OK or K to let the others know we got the message. Those missing messages finally showed up the next day.

We went from Jr Suite to Owner's suite on Navigator of the Seas Monday after Thanksgiving 2023 $190 per person Minimum bid. We are both Diamond and had not bid on RoyalUp before. We booked the Jr Suite at full fare at a little over 3 months before the cruise. Best experience on a cruise ever and 1st time in a true suite.

We did an Alaskan cruise with a land tour last year (and back in 2016). The land tour will not show up in the cruise planner but it will show up on the cruise itinerary portion of your cruise vacation receipt. Any excursions that will be available on the land portion will be told to you on the first day of the tour. Your tour guide will have the information and you will pay them. Enjoy both the cruise and the land tour.

I have sailed on Radiance and Brilliance. Radiance still has the staircase in the centrum area while Brilliance does not. Also, Brilliance has closed off the area by the pool tables for offices while Radiance still has seating in that area. I prefer Radiance over Brilliance because it has not been "updated" to include more cabins so it feels more open.

Another tip is to stop by a bar and use any remaining vouchers for that day to get bottled water as you head up to your cabin for the night.
