We booked the Spectrum of the seas from China on the 7 days "best of Japan" cruise , Planning to have a live blog while cruising and even start it much earlier as there are many new different things when cruising from China.

I Guess you just need to go to one of the regular bingo sessions that happens everyday , you will get a package of regular and maybe electronic cars. We did it once , it takes around 1 hour , can be fun but we never done it again (I think the price of the tickets are too much for what you are getting).

Or you are crazy like me and walk few miles ?

If you do not consider European ports like Barcelona Rome or Vince (which you actually walk to) ?

Maybe you can checkout what is the last hotel pickup at the shuttle route and stay there ? I also hate to visit all the hotels with the shuttle.

In my Asia and Europe cruises they accepted dollars . will be interesting to see if it will be the same in a cruise out of China , will check it around October .

I do not think they can stop everyone with travel router in the check in , they can try and block the usage of travel router by different ways , not sure they want to do it.

First , the Gym is free (allow 16 years old and above) , most of the classes cost extra. Regarding the opening time , it depends on the ship but you can count on at least 6 AM to 10 PM , in some ships it will be opened until 1 am .

Although Uber or shuttle will be the best option you can rent a car: Take the car when you land, (check if your hotel has free parking) . you can drive at the morning and choose two options : 1. return it in Miami airport and take the shuttle (National for example used to offer free shuttle to the port if you had rental car agreement) or to take a Taxi (26-29$ fixed price). 2. Go directly to the port , drop the suitcases with the porters , your family can wait for you at the port and you can go to drop the car , it can take around 40 minutes +/-

You will find Labadee to be very secure , I would not hesitate to visit it. We were in Nassau last December, we went down and walked around the streets near the port , did not had any issues and people was mostly nice. as it is your first cruise I would recommend maybe to take a tour from the ship.

Yap , from time to time you have people like that visiting here , I hope it is people and not trolls, I want to give people the benefits of doubt. there are some people who just want to complain/share about the horrible experience they had not to get reaction but just to punish the entity they complained about . There are people/trolls who just enjoy throwing key words and see how high the flame will grow (key words like : emotional animals on ships, pinnacles vs suite guest , gratuity, reserving chairs and more) . what I like with this site that such cases are handled promptly and very politely

Well , not to be all negative (like some other sites ? ) there are also good things on the other sites , like the meet and mingles and dedicated cruise boards and lots of information. As any website with recommendations/complains it need to be handle with grain of salt, so I read it same as read tripadvisor or such other sites. For example, I would not plan my Chaina cruise if I would just read the comments over there ...

I think you will not be able , It says that you can use one offer per each room , but you can always try , just submit an email with the extra OBC offer and in the worse case they will tell you no and they even kind enough to guide you how to get back the points in the game.

Good plan , I will suggest , just to be on the safe side to book also a 5+ days cruise , if Royal will change the number of points require for Diamond you can always call them , show you already booked enough for 80 points and ask them to owner it once you will be at 80 .

I do not recall seeing any ice vending machines which is open to the public , usually people are asking the attendant for that . another think that might work is to ask for some ice from one of the bars. Regarding the tips , if you ask your attendant to make sure you ice bucket is full every day or twice a day you do not need to give him a tip everyday , remember the automatic system of gratuity . for sure in the end if you think he did extra you can add some money for him , but this is an option not a must.

RCL web site is use the same algorithm as the their casino slots machines , sometime you get something , very rarely you get jackpot and able to book using the site all the way while getting exactly what you order.

I think it will be nice , but few things need to be set , for example , are the visitors allow to the free restaurants ? are they allow to the pools/flow riders ? are they going to be only as part of a guided tour ? will the DX package will work on the other ship ?
