Alaska is on my bucket list, but I can’t afford it right now with three cruises booked between December 2018 and December 2019. Maybe RCB/MEI Travel will book another Alaska Group Cruise for either 2020 or 2021?

I agree with @fonemanbob on the itinerary as I especially try to visit one new city or country while I am either on a land-based vacation or cruise. I have three cruises booked between now and December 2019 (June 2019 Mediterranean cruise is with a different cruise line), but looking at Bermuda, Baja Mexico, Alaska or Southern Caribbean for my 2020 cruise. For me, the ship is secondary to the itinerary and price, I am a cheap cruiser LOL.

I have family in Japan (mother is Japanese), you just reminded me that I haven't returned there for a visit in almost 13 years. Family has been back plenty of times, most recently last month (Japan and destination wedding in Bali).

Like Kayla, I am not a huge water park person, but I appreciate that Royal Caribbean is revitalizing CocoCay and offering more options to their guests. Can't wait to see the renovations! I will be visiting CocoCay in December 2019 on my Harmony cruise and am looking forward to parking my big fat Canadian butt on the beach ? Nothing to do but swim, snorkel (with my own gear), read, relax, eat the cruise fare inclusive buffet, and take a billion photos!

Here's a good article explaining the VAT when cruising in the European Union, and, yes, alcohol is subject to the tax which can vary from country to country. In regards to drink packages specifically, it is recommended to purchase any drink, dining, specialty dining package prior to your cruise to avoid being charged a VAT. There are other recommendations included in the article which I hope will help you.
