  1. I am really glad that I not only have a flexible schedule that allows me to cruise pretty much whenever and a strong dislike of travel to warm destinations in the summer. So, let’s hear it for Caribbean cruises in early December! It could not have been a coincidence that both of my cruises are scheduled on December 8th, 365 days apart from one another ?

Thanks for the info, Mr. Twangster bot-dude ?

I'm betting on increased demand.  That has always been the most significant factor in cruise-to-cruise price variations over the years.

I often cruise off-peak for that reason.  Consistently there are a few weeks every year that are the same cruise as a month later but significantly less in price - lower demand.

Yep, I'm glad I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to cruise in early December when rates are really low ? Not going to be as fortunate with this family June 2019 Mediterranean cruise as we are dependent on the itinerary.

Don't forget that as time progresses and you get closer to any sailing, price tends to go up.  It's not surprising at all that in the months since you booked and/or been tracking prices that the price of the cruise would go up.

And people laughed at me for booking my Adventure, Harmony cruises 16-20 months ahead in advance! RCB 1, Royal Caribbean 0 ?

  3. Have a great cruise, Ellcee! Very sorry to hear about your friends/family members, best wishes on their respective recoveries.

I'm sailing on Harmony solo in December 2019, so I'm always up for following a live review onboard this ship ? (I'm booked in a Studio Oceanview on Deck Four, you'll have to let us know how you liked your corner of the world!) Like you, I need my alone time although I do like talking to people while I'm vacation. I just am too darn stubborn to follow everyone else's itinerary, so I prefer travelling solo. ? Have you thought about dining at a specialty restaurant solo for lunch? This is what I am planning to do for my two upcoming cruises on Adventure and Harmony in addition to MDR dinner with assigned tablemates.

Edit: Thanks to your blog title, I am really missing MSCL lmao; brings back memories of high school in the '90s!
