  1. @kevpeirce. I saw you were looking at PHL-SJU, not sure where you live but did you check BWI? Southwest flies to SJU from there.  I just booked the Anthem so again @JLMoran can help you with that.  I've been on Grandeur and am heading back on her this February.  I think going from Harmony to Grandeur you might be disappointed.  We like her as we are a bit older, just love the staff, the ship and the size.  To know her is to love her, but certainly Anthem will offer more than what you were used to with Harmony.

Now, that page did give an answer, and it said at the time that the deposits were $250 pp ($500 per cabin) for 7-night sailings, and $450 pp ($900 per cabin) for "longer cruises".

HI Joe, I can give you my cruise planners information if you'd like to call her.  She did so a booking for me and only charged my $250, as she put the booking in just my name as I am not sure about it.  One good thing with Celebrity, their deposits are refundable.

To me it was a no brainier, get a Sky or Celebrity suite

I agree with you John.  I have booked all my Celebrity cruises VERY early too which gets you the best rates.  On our May 12 Summit, I booked Celebrity Suite, the Sky Suite is more than what I booked the Celebrity for now.  Our Edge booking is $2000 more pp!  I really want to try that Genie though but to get there, it's almost twice as much.  I love both RC and Celebrity so I go back and forth and see what fits our schedule.  too bad about your wife having to go back to school so early.  Have you looked at Inagural for the APEX?  Prices are not bad currently.

  4. And Sky suites are much smaller or Grand Suites on RC ships.  Again, @JLMoran it really is budget as well.  We don't have two beautiful girls like you do and to consider college etc. We have two beautiful golden retrievers that still cost a pretty penny when we travel! LOL.  If you are considering Aqua, I can tell you on the Celebrity FB pages etc EVERYONE raves about BLU. I am anxious to see what the Revamp is on Summit as she desperately needed it when we sailed on her last September. Consider the Sept 1 sailing i Aqua class, you are getting 2 additional nights and it's SO relaxing compared to the 5 night cruise (we did that last May on Grandeur).

Celebrity already carries a premium price vs. Royal,

Joe, I actually find Royal (depending on ship) to be more expensive.  As you know, I'm a suite snob.  I can't afford an Owners Suite or Genie on Royal, but I pay about $2000 less per sailing on Celebrity in a Celebrity Suite or Sky suite, and that includes the 4 perks versus Oasis, Symphony etc .  Hell, I'm not even taking the Drink package on Grandeur in February as it's $1000.  Again, probably if looking at inside or balcony perhaps Rc is less expensive.  I actually love both cruise lines but dollar for dollar when booking a suite, I find Celebrity to best (again they include Premium Drink, Internet, Gratuities and $300 OBC).

've check our documentation from previous cruises and the number is correct, has anyone else had an issue like this? If so how did you get around it?
    Cheers in Advance

I had the same issue with hubby.  Call C&A, they were very helpful and were able to find his number and add it.  Again, they were very helpful, I hope you get the same guy I did! LOL

Be sure to follow the live blogs on CruiseHabit.com!

Funny Joe, do you know I've never been on cruise habit! LOL  I will be sure to follow.  It's weird, from the few pictures (live ones not artist renditions), it doesn't look like it's our cup of tea. Maybe I need to see the live blog, it didn't get my WOW up.  It looked too "sterile" if that makes sense.

If it is in the same old location (doubtful, actually) it was pretty close to the tender disembark area and it would have been accessible with the big wheeled chairs.  But if they moved the area somewhere else, I have no idea where it is, how far it is or if it is still chair accessible.  I won't be going to Coco Cay until Feb. so I will have to rely on others who might go before me or just wait.

Thanks Raye, I will just wait. Don't want to spend $$ we can't have access to. I'm hoping Francis is still the Concierge when we sail.  I think we are the last sailing before her unexpected drydock.  Not even sure the pier will be completed from what I'm reading here.LOL!

The Coco Cay Suites area had its own bar, restrooms and

HI Raye, we too will be there in February,  We are in an Owners Suite on Grandeur.  Is this something we have to pre-book as I don't see it on the Cruise Planner or does the Concierge do it? Never been there before so I have zero frame of reference.  Also you said it was close.  It is close enough for hubby who will be in a scooter or wheelchair? Thanks Raye!

  10. I can speak for RC , they don't ask for any documentation to prove that you are disabled.  Her sister company, Celebrity we had to send documents from our doctors before they would assign an accessible stateroom to us.  I wish RC would also ask for proof as I am having difficulty getting accessible as well. My husband uses his scooter we rent and we do charge it in the room if you'd rather have it at your disposal when you need it.
