This is a great idea. I was informed my July '18 cruise will now be 30ish people. At least have one main schedule and let people show up where they want.

I got nothing on my July '18 trip. It's still so early.

What's the best deal you've all seen in your time? I'm asking specifically about the drink package but I'm interested in general as well.

The only time I've ever been sea sick (I grew up on the water) was leaving from Cape Liberty. While I didn't enjoy the sea sick parts- I remember trying to walk in the hallway after a few cocktails and a lot of laughter. The rocking to sleep was kinda nice, too. Wishing everyone smooth sailing.

Last time I wore a dress the first night then nice black pants the second. I never want to be disrespectful to the room but I'm not a dress person and I wanted to be comfortable. I'd dress up for a 70's or 80's party tho.

I think I did my research - I haven't opened a new card in years, I'm funny about having a lot of cards. Yup, I'm using it to pay off the trip. I figure I'll charge a little a month til it's paid off. Only RC related purchases for this card. My goal is to get the drink package and between the discount (I have 11 months so one should pop up) and OBC I'll basically pay half. Brilliant.

How far is MIA from PE?

It's a new card so $100 is automatic. Putting the cruise itself, the drink package, voom, excursions, etc on the card...makes sense for me. Waiting for a good deal on the drink package plus the OBC means I am actually paying about 1/2 of the price. I'm not big on opening new cards free money works.

The website allows you to easily use your credit and there will be a popup and an icon on the top of the screen when he books anything. This is how I plan to pay for my drink package. Got the RC card, will get as many points as I can for 11 months.

This is where we agree to disagree.

The part that I don't understand is how is how a reputable company would force an alcoholic drink package on someone who doesn't drink...most notably alcoholics or people who don't drink for religious reasons. I understand forcing a drink package, just not one that includes alcohol. If I was either one of these it would challenge my reasoning to cruise. This doesn't personally effect me but think a huge company like RC would have more social responsibility than that.

Hi all. I've been lurking here and there, posting a bit. You're all super informative, this blog is great. Next summer I've booked a studio room on Harmony. This is my third cruise, second with Royal. I'm going with at least 10 people at this point and sharing a room was not really what I wanted- it was looking 3 to a room and...just no. I found out about the studio rooms and got really excited. I checked the prices and it's 100% worth the extra cost. Plus, I figure this is why we work. Has anyone stayed in one? I know they're small, I read up all I could on everything, just wanted an actual person's opinion. Thanks in advance.

I can help with weather - I'm in NY. Since you're a Canadian I'd say you'd be fine. November can be 50s-60's. Check the weather to see how it's been since weather is well, weather and we can have a snow storm or a 70 degree day. A light jacket with a sweater could be just fine.

Jeeez. Of course it sucks when you have your mind on something but people are a little too much. The trip isn't canceled. San Juan is gorgeous - been there a few times and winged it....had great days there. The island is beautiful, there actually are quite a few things to do and there are a ton of places to eat.

oh, I don't think this is a regular meal. I just really want to know what's to the left of the rice.
