  1. So we were to sail on 03/15 when everything was halted on 03/13. We were still issued our Crown and Anchor points for this cruise even though it did not happen. Was there ever an official statement from RCL about these points? When a FCC is redeemed, points still earned on that sailing as well?
  2. Did anyone else's itinerary get changes as well? March 2022 Allure was going to Roatan, Costa Maya, Cozumel... Now Liberty taken over sail date and it is changed to Falmouth, George Town, Cozumel... They moved us to interior deck 10 under the Pools from a mid-level interior on Allure... Hello cancellation and refund of deposit... (For the record we would still be sailing on Liberty if they hadn't changed the ports... Sailed on her before and will again...)
  3. I'll be looking for some Havana Club Rum next week that you can't buy in the USA but can still legally bring back... Cozumel is our only Mexican Port... Paul
  4. Sailing on Sunday and have held off on purchasing some onboard items simply because of potential 'onboard only' offers... If they put them on website, people can cancel and rebook at lower... Onboard offers would be limited to onboard only...
  5. love to see how many can sit at Hibachi Tables in Izumi...
  6. For previous cruises on Freedom Class vessels, we've been able to do liability waivers for Flowrider, Rock Wall, etc... online prior to the cruise. I am not seeing this option for a sailing that leaves on 03/15. Does it all have to be done in person now? Really would like to avoid that line... Paul
  7. Is the corkage fee still around for bottles you bring yourself and have served in MDR or Specialty? Know it's not always applied, but wondering if it is still 'on the books'? Didn't see anything during quick search of RCL website...
  8. I have gotten Refreshment Package (i.e. everything but Alcohol Package) for $18/19 a day on Freedom and Vision Class Ships...
  9. Ghost booking doesn't help... Gets me the room I desire but I end up paying $400+ extra... (No Port Fees/taxes for the Ghost but they do have to pay Cruise Fare that is non-refundable...)
  10. Been on 5 Royal Caribbean cruises and are planning future ones and running into an issue I've never had... We are party of 3 (49,44,13) and the RC website is severely limiting the cabin options when I select party of 3. When I enter a 4th member to the party, the ship is magically open. We have sailed in a 4 person cabin (same party of 3) on all of our previous cruises without issues- all booked via RC Website. I contacted MEI and they can't seem to get around this either. Any suggestions? We are sailing in 4 weeks and am wondering if Next Cruise staff can override the lockout? (though I risk losing my preferred dinner time if we wait to book onboard) Paul
  11. I'd like to be 30 years old and have Pinnacle Status...
  12. This video has some great footage of this room...
  13. Anyone else having issues when listening to the podcast? I listen via iOS Podcasts App and generally stream the podcasts vs. downloading them. On several recent podcasts, they get stuck in a loop, and repeat a section for sometimes the remainder of the podcast. During the '3 wishes' episode it kept repeating Billy's desire to have breakfast over and over until timer ran out. This has happened on at least 3 different episodes... Any else have issues?
  14. Some great insights to my question... I do want it both ways though... Keep Mamma Mia on Allure of the Seas after drydock in 2021 when it arrives in Galveston... Get rid of Saturday Night Fever on Liberty of the Seas after drydock in 2021 and it returns to Galveston... With this ship spending so much time out of this port and repeat cruisers... been there done that is becoming an issue for onboard entertainment... It seems like the licensed shows have to have an end date in the contract. Was on Freedom of the Seas in 2014 and don't remember them presenting a 'licensed' show... Recent Cruise Compass for FotS indicate this is still the case... Independence of the Seas has Grease...
  15. Any precedent for Royal Caribbean changing the featured musical over an extended drydock? That seems like it would be the only chance to swap out Props, Casts, Redo Tech... Given upcoming Royal Amplification schedule was hoping for a new show on Liberty of the Seas in 2021...
  16. Surprisingly, the 7 night prices on Allure are very similar to 7 night sailings on Liberty... I know they will increase, but still... Oasis Class at Freedom Class price...
  17. Wow, Pier 10 is farther down the island near the Medical Buildings. The Bus Depot in the rendering is not a good sign for those hoping to park close by. Cruise parking currently up by Pier 1 and 2. No Chance of Royal building a garage like Port Canaveral?
  18. Thanks everyone for keeping this thread current... I had no luck finding any back in December 2018 in Nassau... Hopefully Cozumel in March 2020 will be a different tale...
  19. Was looking at offerings for upcoming sailing on Liberty of the Seas in March 2020 and noticed they were offering a 'Make your own Sushi' class. I have seen this, and done this, on ships with Izumi, but never on a ship without an Izumi. Is this something new? The Jade offerings in the Windjammer just don't scream 'teach me your secrets'...
  20. If I remember it was ~3 hours. Plenty of time after tour to visit bars/Mallory Square/etc... that are near pier.
  21. We did the Bike Tour that concludes with Key Lime Pie last December. Nice quick survey of sites.
