  1. I took my Grandson on Liberty last year and he had Ben and Jerry's every night, sometimes multiple times. Yes it does cost but from what I remember I felt it was reasonable.
  2. My wife saw this posted on one of the many Royal Facebook pages, a guy posted a picture of one of the old Royal ships that was cut in half and stretched, but in the header he said it was the Oasis, this was right after she arrived in Cadiz Spain for the first dry dock. My wife quickly shut him down.
  3. Pinging @Lovetocruise2002 , I think there is an email address that you can use to request this before your cruise, Sabrina will know.
  4. @pezgirl , If you want to be close to Old San Juan which is really close to the cruise port, there is a Sheraton Old San Juan, further away but still relatively close is Candado Beach area, I stayed in a Marriott which has direct beach access and was beautiful and was about a 15 minute taxi ride to the port. Others on here have stayed at a Airbnb in old San Juan and really liked it. I have not had a bad restaurant in San Juan, just pick a place to stay and then start looking at restaurants that are close.
  5. I agree with everyone on here, I was just on Freedom last October and will be on a B2B on her next year in June to celebrate our 40th, the ship will be AMPED by then so I will be excited to see any improvements made. Crowds are crowds but they aren't everyplace, as said, mostly after Muster, a show lets out or the MDR lets out, so if you don't need to be in those areas, avoid them. Muster you have to be there. The only advise I can give you of the demographics of the ship is that it is based out of Puerto Rico, so if the ship is not selling out they will make it available to the local population to try and sail with a full ship. The Puerto Rico people have a more laid back attitude and tend to enjoy themselves more than us staunch Americans, they will have little festive get togethers that can get loud, but it is all in fun (Think of a soccer match). There also may be a Quinceanera celebrated on board, so you will see the 15YR in their party dress looking like little Princesses with their extended families. One of the cruises we were on there was a minimum of 3 of these on board during the week we were on in June. San Juan is a beautiful city rich in history, you cannot beat the Southern Caribbean islands, they are some of my Wife's and I most favorite islands. If at all possible go down a day or so early to enjoy the town.
  6. Here is the 7 night Cruise Compass, it was the only recent one that included the Mediterranean. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compasses/explorer-of-the-seas/fri-2019-05-24-0000
  7. She is the best, I just like giving her a hard time.
  8. @michelle rocks, Great job Michelle. I'm a little upset though, how come you never do anything like this for me? lol. Just because I don't have kids at home anymore doesn't mean you can't try, lol.
  9. I think from another post I remember you being in 9595, 9597, 9599, some of the Central Park rooms come with JR, but I don't think these do.
  10. If you are not making a change to the ship, the date, or the room type there should not be a penalty, no matter if it is a refundable or nonrefundable deposit. Royal should allow you the lower rate and credit back the credit card used. This applies to US booked cruises, I believe in another post you stated you were from the UK, so this might change the rules, it doesn't hurt to call Royal and ask, they either help you or tell you no. Pinging @hayley_bopp and @Ray , 2 people I know are from the UK.
  11. This is me, I get dressed up every day for work, so I typically don't bring much for a cruise, but the Wife likes to have a couple of nice photos taken, so I will bring clothes for that, which usually coincides with formal nights, but I always wear at a minimum slacks and a polo shirt for dinner. But after dinner I'm down at the room putting on shorts for the rest of the evening. A recent cruise we took we were spending a lot of time in the Diamond lounge during the day, provided a nice place to relax and read out of the sun, one evening we got to the lounge at around 5:45'ish, my wife wanted a glass of wine to take back to the room. I was berated by a Pinnacle for not adhering to the proper dress code for the Diamond lounge, I blew him off because I thought he was kidding until I left and saw a sign on the door explaining the proper dress for Diamond happy hour.
  12. Found it, looks like it starts on page 3.
  13. There was a semi live blog on here recently that included a stop in San Juan, that did the food tour, can't remember who did the blog though, but they said they really enjoyed the tour.
  14. Anthem still uses the old APP RoyalIQ , which I don't think has the electronic Set Sail pass. When I open the APP it doesn't really show me anything, tells me I have to be connected to the ship WiFi for it to work.
  15. This is the same link I posted in your other thread, look at the floor plan, if it has a triangle next to the room number it has a sleeper sofa, so 9595, 9597 and 9599 do not have a triangle. If you look at 9593 it has the triangle as well as the arrow's designating connecting rooms. The rooms come standard as 2 twin beds with a night stand in between, so they assume that 2 separate people will each sleep on their own bed, if you are a couple, Royal has to be told to join the same 2 beds together to make 1 big bed. If you son is on the small side, you could tell the room steward to make the sofa up with bedding even though it is not a pull out sleeper, then you could have the 1 large bed to yourself. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/Harmony-of-the-Seas Hope this helps, in the long run you could turn all of this over to a travel agent (Which is free) and tell them your needs and maybe they could still find 3 room together with sleeper sofa and maybe connecting rooms. A lot of us on here use MEI travel, they help sponsor this site so it can stay free.

  17. The percentages are the same on my sheet from Oasis.
  18. Cozumel, Nachi Cocom, they take reservations and limit the number of people, great food and laid back atmosphere.
  19. 2 Bedroom Grand suite would be a tight fit for 8 people, especially the bathrooms. 2 Bedroom Aqua Theater Suite is much larger and would be Star Class and provide the benefits you have been reading about.
  20. I've used this place 3 times, never had an issue, it's not covered, but 7 night cruise in 2018 cost me $70. https://www.ezcruiseparking.com/
  21. It's not really rigid, it's based on when your flights are, early flights get early disembarkation, late, late, etc.. You can self disembark any time you want. If you are in a suite the Concierge will escort you off the ship at specific times.
  22. We are staying at the Embassy Suites, but our flight doesn't arrive in time for the meet up so we will not be going.
  23. Mine has just the USB ports, 6 of them, camera has to plug in like you say, you just have to rotate things through if you are in a small room with just 1 plug.
