  1. You can walk to Junkanoo Beach, but just be prepared to say "no thank you" firmly a lot along the way. The benefit of a tour is you should be able to meet a guide and avoid anyone asking to "help" you.
  2. I would add going downtown (instead of limiting yourself to the port shopping area).
  3. The Solarium is only opened to kids on cold weather cruises. It's been this way for many years.
  4. Pretty much. I think it's 48 hours, but your workflow is correct. Last I checked, it wasn't available for all sailings yet
  5. Depends on the year. Sometimes yes, sometimes not at all
  6. Welcome to the message boards. Passport or birth certificate Credit card Human being checking in so you can take a selfie Address and phone number of everyone checking in
  7. I believe Royal's issue is they can't offer the same benefits across the fleet. Smaller/older ships don't have the means to offer the same benefits as bigger/newer ships. So it can never be truly standardized across the fleet.
  8. You get 2 free days, but you have to wait to get onboard to get it. This means if you are on a 6-night cruise, when you go to buy an internet package, you'll see an automatic discount applied to regular price of a Voom package of 2 days off. If you wait until the end of the cruise and buy it on final day or two of the cruise, then it would truly be free. No, there isn't a standalone package. You could use your D+ to get 1 24 hour pass, but then you're wasting one of the days.
  9. The benefit to Royal Caribbean is RC didn't have to code up the site and logic to make RU work. Means they were able to offer it faster to customers with less up-front investment.
  10. Is that really an expectation for 2019 prices to come back for some? That boat has sailed. I thought you laid out your points quite well, @JasonOasis. At this point, I'd say holding the line on prices for a bit would be a more realistic "dream" for what to expect in terms of pricing.
  11. As is typical with Insider/Business Insider articles, it's not actually anything new. The modularity has been there for decades now, and the fact many cruise lines really see their profits in these add-ons is not a new phenomenon. The non-luxury lines have never included things like phone calls, shore excursions, alcohol. The difference is there's now more options to consider too. But at the end of the day, if you include something in the price, you're still paying for it. And for every person that would want booze, wifi, or something else included, there's someone else that wouldnt because they don't use it and don't want to pay for it.
  12. Yes Go to the cruise planner, go to your order history, cancel the original purchase and then go back and buy it at new lower price.
  13. It's incredible how well they're doing, not just by 2023 standard but by 2019 standards. This company got shutdown for over a year and is now doing better than ever (this quarter) despite all the negative press of the past 3 years. It's impressive and it's clear they'll be able to survive all the debt they accrued (eventually). What's even more impressive is how well-booked they are into 2024. Unlike retail, a good quarter today isn't just about what people already bought. These are customers that have invested in trips up to 2 years away, so it means built-in demand going forward.
  14. Yes, you're correct. Then they removed it. Back in the day I used to do holds to see what was in the cruise planner
  15. DCL is part of the Disney Parks group, and that's been a very profitable operation historically. I'd say there's no almost no chance of them jettisoning it.

  17. Coastal Kitchen is a more intimate MDR experience for suite guests. I'd say it's a step ahead of MDR and since it's complimentary, a compelling option. Same as any other restaurant. No Nope, unlimited. Satellite internet isnt perfect, and it can vary depending on a variety of conditions. In most cases, it will be sufficient for remote work. Video calls can be iffy.
  18. Clearly shows the company likes you and trusts in what you're doing. Time to get the band back together and get Mckayla with you too!
  19. This is the one I used in Europe & UK and worked well: https://amzn.to/473GKIJ
  20. Already told my wife we HAVE to go support Chris by spending a lot of time in the casino
  21. There are select hours you can have reserved time at certain attractions, it's not an all day thing.; In my experience, the times reserved for Key guests are at times you don't want to use them: Port days or during dinner time.
  22. Just to be clear, allowing kids in Solarium on cold(er) weather cruises is not a new change. It's been the policy for many years.
