  1. At last count there were at least 16 ships that offered it: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/01/24/royal-caribbean-cruise-line-pickleball But Royal hasn't updated the list, so it's definitely more at this point. I don't see it in a quick spot check in Vision of the Seas https://royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compasses/vision-of-the-seas/thu-03072024-0000
  2. Did you purchase travel insurance? I'm not sure that's a covered reason either, but curious if you did.
  3. There are taxis, but keep in mind they'll probably lump you in with other people going other places. St Thomas doesnt do normal taxis. They have trucks they load people into in order to maximize fares. So they'll take you there, but they'll make 2 other stops
  4. I'd probably go with a bar that has a special menu, rather than one that has the generic menu. The coffee drinks from the Rye & Bean bar in the Aquadome stand out
  5. No, it happens on all ships. Why we get posts here about some or any, just the will of the internet.
  6. No one pushing an agenda or opinion. The article lays out the reality of the cruise industry. Gratuity, despite the academic definition, is not the same on cruises and it's an explanation of why it's compulsory. @RCIfan1912 is trying to explain to you the reality of what cruisers should expect, as first mentioned in the article. In the same way we write articles advocating not to book a flight on the first day of your cruise because it's a mistake, not tipping on a cruise is also a faux pas.
  7. We stayed in the Aquatheater suite on Wonder and never recall noise being a problem
  8. I think seasickness is more an issue in Alaska on an open jaw sailing that goes through the Gulf of Alaska than the Seattle cruises that just hit the inside passage.
  9. I did this cruise last year and a few things you can review: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/05/23/7-mistakes-3-things-i-did-right-my-royal-caribbean-norwegian-fjords-cruise https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/05/14/norway-cruise-fjord-haugesund https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/05/18/norway-cruise-fjord-vs-glacier-geiranger-olden Podcast: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/podcast/episode-499-norway-fjords-cruise-review
  10. Hi Kristen! There are a few MEI agents that frequent these boards, such as @Sharla, @Jenn G-MEI Travel, @JC Pats, @Sara_MEI
  11. Correct! A Radiance Class ship fare will cost more in Alaska than Tampa
  12. Yes, 1 point per night. It's the only way to get C&A points without being on a ship
  13. Ready for toga parties? https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2024/06/18/utopia-of-the-seas-show-entertainment
  14. It's not quite exactly like that. Think of prices like a baseline. If we assume the baseline is the cheapest possible price, newer ships charge more for it above the price line. It's not akin to the price of used cars, where the price depreciates as the vehicle gets older. Rather, prices for older ships don't go up as much as newer ships. So when you search for a cruise, you'll generally see lower prices for older ships. Hope that makes sense.
  15. There isn't a right or wrong answer here to stay in London vs Southampton the night before the cruise. Plusses and minuses to both options, but neither are problematic. Just a matter of personal preference.
  16. Nothing wrong with what you're doing. The issue is the remainder credit leftover. Let's assume all games require 3 credits, and you have 2 credits left over. That sort of scenario. That bugs me, but it's not a major thing by any means. I prefer to swipe as I go to circumvent the issue, but I'm neurotic like that LOL
  17. You want to completely remove a cruise from your account and then re-add it back? I'm not aware of a way to remove a cruise booking from your account (other than when you cancel one).
  18. According to @Teresa McChane there's 4 more of these $1777 cabins available today for the Icon GC on June 29
  19. List of hotel recommendations here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/12/01/guide-seattle-cruise-port-alaska-cruises
  20. I've heard good things about the Pig in the Wall
  21. While causation does not equal correlation, it is interesting to see we're a month away from Utopia launching and still no word on the shows (beyond Aqua 80s Too that was leaked) and Weir was let go. Things that make you go hmmm....
  22. It seemed like this was one of the promotions that actually garnered real savings
  23. Don't pre-buy arcade credits because you'll end up with leftover credits. Just swipe your SeaPass card for whatever games you want to play. As for the games, skeeball is fun for a round or two. I enjoy occasionally a racing game that I can race with my kids at same time. Otherwise, it's a lot of claw machines and generic arcade games. It's far from a large arcade, just enough to offer the basics.
