  1. I also emailed Royal about this because i was just that frustrated and this is the response they sent back to me: Thank you for your email. We know how exciting planning your cruise can be and helping you iron out the details is why we are here.We understand your disappointment in seeing a lower price available for the category and sailing you booked with us. Due to the nature of business, there are times when pricing will fluctuate on available itineraries. If the rate on your stateroom goes down, or a better promotion is offered prior to the final payment date, we can adjust the pricing to the lower rate as long as the promotion is offered to existing bookings. In the event it is offered on new reservations only, the promotion is not able to be applied.Additionally, any current promotions on the reservation would be lost as they are linked to the rate you currently have. After the final payment date of a booking, we are only able to offer an upgrade to a higher category at an equal or lower value of the current stateroom category on a reserved booking if it is available. It is our goal to provide you with as much information as we can to make your cruise planning experience as easy and stress-free as possible from beginning to end. With that in mind, I invite you to check out a couple of “FAQ’s” found on the Royal Caribbean website. I hope that you will find the following informative:https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked/know-before-you-go https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-should-i-do-before-my-cruisehttps://www.royalcaribbean.com/faqThank you for choosing Royal Caribbean International. We look forward to welcoming you onboard soon and wish you good health and smooth sailing until then.Best regards,
  2. @WAAAYTOOO @Ryan79 The final payment is due tomorrow, 9/13. I have not paid it yet because I have heard that if you pay it early and the price goes down, it's even harder to get a price adjustment. So I was shocked and frustrated when they wouldn't give me the updated price last Saturday since I haven't gave the final payment yet...
  3. I booked a cruise a few months back that is sailing in December. Over the last few months, I've seen the price decrease and I call to get the price adjustment. However this last time i checked it went down like $100! That's much more than the usual $20 I've seen it go down. When I called to get it price adjusted, they said that pricing is for new bookings only and that the current price I have was already the best for "existing bookings". I called back several times and talked to different reps just in case the one I talked to was misinformed but they all said the same thing. I even talked to a manager who said the same thing too. That seems crazy to me. They will give better price to new bookings but wont price adjust mine?? And just as a side note, I have NOT made the final payment yet. Just the usual $200 deposit at the time of booking.
  4. I am taking my first cruise in December on Navigator of the Seas out of LA. This will be my first cruise and although I am excited, I have many questions that I cant seem to find answers for on all the youtube video's I have watched all about this. Here are just a few questions I am hoping you guys can help me answer: There are 2 of us on the reservation. Will we each need to check in separately on the app when the time comes? Or will my one check in do it for both of us? We decided to choose the "My time" dining option when booking this cruise. Can I still go to main dining room on day 1 and make reservations for all 5 days in advance? A little too late now since I've already booked the cruise, but is sailing in December fine when it comes to weather? Will I still be able to lounge outside/inside the pool comfortably? The navigator of the seas has an ice rink. Are the ice rink shows the same every day/night? So I can just book one of the shows and feel fulfilled, or are the shows different each night? I understand that each me and my guest are allowed to each bring a bottle of wine and a total of 12 cans of soda for the room. How does one bring this on the ship? Do we pack it in the checked luggage? Do we keep it out and just hand it to the porter? Or do we keep it in our carry on? If you say the carry on option like I've seen some youtube videos say, how am I supposed to enjoy the slides and flowrider while waiting for room to be ready if carrying around a big bag full of this stuff? Thank you in advanced for all the help!
  5. I'll be there! This is my first cruise. I'm slightly younger, 27, but very mature and well past my party days. Was going to book carnival cruise which has the same itinerary on the same exact dates, but after watching some videos, that "party crowd" looks like a nightmare. But then again, I hope not to be bored with RC. Hopefully I made the right choice!
  6. Hi all, I have never been on a cruise before and just booked one for December. I have watched so many videos which helped me make this decision. However, after booking this cruise with Royal, I stumbled across a video where he said you will get charged a mandatory gratuity fee at the END of your cruise and it might be wise to buy the prepaid gratuity package. While I did understand after doing much research before booking this cruise that there is a mandatory $16 a day per guest gratuity fee, I thought that was part of the "taxes and fees" when I made the booking. This video where he says I will have to pay for it at the END of the cruise suggests otherwise. Is he saying that after I pay the total cost of the cruise with taxes and fees (in my case based on the screenshot below, $736) that I will be charged an additional $16 a day per guest before I get off the ship on the last day? So my total would really be 736 + 80 + 80 (5 day cruise with 2 guests)? Can someone please help me understand. Also, for the experienced cruisers out there, could I get your advice on the dining time situation? I chose the "My time" option but some videos I've seen said I should definitely choose the reserved time option. Would it be too late to change? Thank you in advance!
