  1. I recently wrote an article about this: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2024/12/10/taking-cruise-the-uk-2025-youll-need-do-something-new-year
  2. I don't see it happening any time soon.
  3. Welcome to the message boards. The chat feature is free and you don't need a wifi plan to use it https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/01/09/royal-caribbeans-onboard-messaging-system-now-free-heres-how-it-works
  4. Just posted an article about this topic of travel warnings and what they mean for cruisers
  5. Welcome to the message boards. I assume you mean with regards to your cruise that's scheduled to go to San Juan and St. Maarten. If there is a change, you get an email. Your travel agent will get one too. FWIW, it looks promising you'll be able to go https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2025/01/14/cruise-ships-stop-skipping-stops-puerto-rico
  6. I'd tip at the end when I'm going home.
  7. Bilbao is like a 20 or 30 minute drive from where the ship docks. La Coruna docks right in town, so you can easily walk around. My advice is use Yelp or Google reviews to find a coffee shop that appeals to you and have the directions written down somewhere (or get an eSim so you can use your phone in Europe)
  8. Welcome to the message boards. Can't you delete the pass from your Apple wallet, go back into Royal Caribbean app and re-add it to your wallet?
  9. The article I wrote sums up our approach to it. I'd also recommend regular check-ins, at least in the beginning of the cruise. The kids want to go somewhere? After they do that, come back and check in. As you both get comfortable, you can extend the physical check-ins. But it's all about trust and comfort.
  10. Welcome to the message boards. There's a rule about this that only applies to infants between the ages of six months and 12 months to sail. I don't know they're classifying it as a transatlantic, but I suspect CocoCay is the phantom third day based on this old article where they said that was the case "any cruise that has 3 or more days consecutive at sea will require infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour." https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/international-age-policy
  11. I find it easier and more convenient to just order what you need with Uber Eats. They deliver to hotels. That way, your location is irrelevant!
  12. They're not mutually exclusive. You can book a cruise at NextCruise and then have the reservation managed by a travel agent. NextCruise sells the cruise at the exact same price as you'd find online. The difference is you get extra onboard credit with NextCruise.
  13. Yes, it's automatic when phantom person 2 doesnt show It's really no trouble, and the reality is it often is cheaper. The downside to this strategy is you probably wont get double crown and anchor points.
  14. Cruise Tips TV has done a lot of Japan cruises, albeit on Princess. However, there's good Japan touring info: https://www.youtube.com/@CruiseTipsTV
  15. I'm at 16 days and still don't have a cabin assigned, so don't sweat it yet. Yes, they can give you luggage tags at the terminal. Porters are used to doing this for people who forgot to print/attach luggage tags
  16. They may still use G because that's where people are parked and on return, there may be another ship using A
  17. Once you're past final payment date (90 days before sailing), there are penalties to change the ship and/or sail date. In your case, 29 hours before departure, it's akin to cancelling. There's no real difference because they can't sell that room with such short notice (and government restrictions on submitting manifests). Thus, you're "stuck" with it.
  18. On Voyager, they never became available to book pre-cruise. We had to wait to book onboard. Other ships had the option to prebook, but it was only available in the few weeks before the holiday
  19. If you're interested in Orlando, I can recommend my real estate agent to you. The more rural you're willing to go, the further your money will go. If you want to avoid hurricanes, you probably want Central Florida, and not the coast.
  20. Same time as usual. You depart later, but the boarding times are the same as cruises from Florida.
  21. I doubt it. If the kid is one year off from the minimum age, there's a chance. But two years off is just too much. You can certainly ask, but I'd be willing to bet the answer is no.
