We're diamond plus and all of our recent cruises up to this point have always had private diamond events (a sail away on the helipad, private ice show, private water show...), we were on the Adventure last week and there was nothing, no welcome aboard gift, no chocolate covered strawberries or petit fours in our cabin on one of the formal nights and no diamond event. twangster Posted June 5, 2018 Report Share Posted June 5, 2018 On Adventure early May, they missed my welcome aboard beverage but did have four bottles of water and some cookies. Petit fours a few days into the cruise. C&A beach towel gift for D+. Other D+ reported getting their bottle of wine so I think mine was just overlooked. The C&A benefits now simply state something to the effect "Nightly Diamond Event" which now equates to Diamond Happy Hour as near as I can tell. The 'Top Tier' event, platinum and up, is sometimes in Studio B with a small ice show, or in the Aqua theater with a small water show, or in a lounge with singers and dancers, etc. That's once per cruise and not nightly. jticarruthers Posted June 7, 2018 Report Share Posted June 7, 2018 I thought I read something last year about the "top tier" events getting killed off ... must admit I think we only ever went to one because they almost always conflicted with something else and IIRC we would get one day notice and not feel like rearranging our time.
