rjac Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 We will be embarking on the Icon OTS out of Miami March 22, 2025 and we will be flying into Miami on March 21st. Looking for a good hotel for the 21st that has a shuttle to the port or does Royal offer a transfer from the hotel? Thanks! WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote
Ryan79 Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 Kimton EPIC and Intercontinental Miami are my two go to spots. No shuttle, but Uber is quite cheap and more reliable than hotel shuttles in my experience. Royal doesn’t pick up from hotels. rjac 1 Quote
Biaggio Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 Hotels that time of the year in Miami are going to be expensive. I’d hotel shuttle to an airport hotel and uber to the ship. rjac 1 Quote

My advise (as a local) would be to go West out to one of the outlying Miami suburbs and find a mid level chain hotel. Use ride share option to get around. rjac 1 Quote
Pattycruise Posted December 5, 2024 Report Posted December 5, 2024 Royal does not offer shuttles from hotels.  They may offer a shuttle from the airport, for a fee, and typically your flight must arrive the morning of the sailing to take advantage of this.  There are many airport hotels at Miami, there may be some who offer a paid for shuttle to the port. Uber or Lyft tend to be reasonably priced, especially if you are 2 or more traveling. rjac 1 Quote

Can you recommend some of the outlying suburbs to me. I'm not familiar with Miami. Robert Quote
cpa09 Posted December 5, 2024 Report Posted December 5, 2024 Check out Comfort Suites Miami Airport North at 657 Minola Dr in Miami Springs. This hotel provides a free shuttle to the Port of Miami. My family has stayed here a few times and it is a decent hotel (a bit older) with free breakfast.  rjac 1 Quote
WAYNO Posted December 5, 2024 Report Posted December 5, 2024 You will read of many suggestions, but ultimately you still have to decide from a long list. I will add to that list... Radisson RED works very well for us. Free airport shuttle, and a bus to the ship on cruise day. Â rjac, WAAAYTOOO and Cactus527 2 1 Quote

Stay away from the beach and you should find reasonably priced hotels. 3/22 is a Saturday and I can tell you that from my house in East Fort Lauderdale to the Port of Miami can be done inside of 40 minutes (roughly 25 miles). No issues. rjac 1 Quote
AshleyDillo Posted December 5, 2024 Report Posted December 5, 2024 I echo the others..find a hotel with an airport shuttle and rely on rideshare to the port. I recommend the Doral area. There are several mid-range hotels in the area and most offer an airport shuttle. Additionally, there are a lot of restaurants that are walkable in the area. I most recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Miami Airport West/Doral. It's walkable to CityPlace Doral which has a lot of shopping and eateries and a Fresh Market grocery store. rjac 1 Quote
rjac Posted December 5, 2024 Author Report Posted December 5, 2024 Thanks folks, you guys are the bomb! Quote
Oisakk Posted April 7 Report Posted April 7 I stayed at the InterContinental Miami and really liked it. The location was great, close to the port, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The rooftop pool had an amazing view too. If you're open to other options, there's a 4 star hotel Perth travelers might find interesting for comparison—both have a similar level of service and comfort. Booking early helped me get a good rate, so I'd recommend checking prices in advance. Quote
