I would recommend this cabin to anyone that doesn't care much about a balcony as we do. It's a double sized room, it's got a full bathroom with large tub, walk in closet, bunk beds. It's just awesome. 8607 but there are 4 of them I believe I this class of ship only.

Now embarking or terminal was kinda odd but we are not pushy or people to demand things, we aren't people who run around saying what are we entitled to. When we got to Cape Liberty it was actually super smooth going through medal detector deal, and check in. We are diamond but we sat for at least 20 minutes but last time they just sent us right on the ship. I kinda think something for messed up there. If I'm wrong let me know.

Liberty is a beautiful ship, yes she needs a big makeover/amplification because he she is showing her age but she is a great ship. She is the perfect size for me. Not insanely huge with a million decks but just big enough.

Service at dinner last night was excellent, quick and out in I'd say less than an hour. This morning though breakfast in MDR took about absolutely forever. I mean it was crazy, crazy long. That said the crew is amazing, always so happy and smiling. Just love the crew.

We have this room type booked on Freedom in March.  It seems like it's literally 2 promenade rooms, but as one room.  It was pretty cheap too when we booked.  Glad to hear you were happy with it.

Yes that exactly what it is but with the added room for bunk beds which with two kids is super duper cozy. It's like their own little space. It's got lights for each bed and it's really cool. I would have loved that when I was a kid. Plus the larger bathroom with full tub. Nice walk in closet too. Best discovery we made

That's a great space for kids.  I wasn't sure if Royal just took the closet for one of the Promenade rooms and made it the kids bunk room..lol.

It's a very cool "regular" room meaning not a suite. This may have spoiled us though, it may be junior suite going forward at least. 🤣 On ships that don't have a cool room like this.

One thing to keep in mind with this room is if you like a completely pitch black room this isn't for you. There is no way to completely block the light from the Promenade. It's fine for us though. Also we hear absolutely nothing, no noise from the Promenade not even when parades are going, music, nothing at all. Great room to people watch if you are into that.

One thing to note about this cabin category that I didn't know till just yesterday. This cabin requires at least 3 people. I honestly didn't know there was a requirement like that on any cabins, did you?

We have a back to back on May, 4 to Halifax and a 5 to Bermuda but after that in September we have a 5 day to Bermuda again. We asked our travel agent if we could take the kids off that booking but he said you have to 3 in that cabin so you'd have to change cabins and reprice to current fares.

What are some hacks to avoid that if we wanted to leave the kids with family for a short 5 night cruise? Leave one on and they just be a no show? Any penalty for that other than we would have to pay gratuities for the no show?

Yes, we travel as three and have trouble finding rooms sometimes because certain ones will ONLY show up as available when I click 3 people.
