Andy & Sheryl Unwin Posted September 16 Report Posted September 16 Sheryl and I disembarked Allure on Friday, the 13th. As is our norm, we left our vehicle in a handicapped spot in the Terminal (A) Parking lot. However, we discovered a pleasant surprise when we arrived at the barrier. For the first time ever, the gate attendant stopped me from paying the $140.00 fee and validated the parking ticket to ensure no fee was payable. $0.00 We have had handicap plates on our vehicles for well over 15 years, and like I say, this was a first—a rather pleasant one. Matt Posted September 16 Report Posted September 16 I was surprised when I did a back to back on Utopia, the system was smart enough to charge me for the second cruise. JustMeJoe and ScottD 1 1 Quote

Last2Know Posted September 17 Report Posted September 17 I kept screenshots of these on my phone. Some parking attendants are unaware Florida law regarding handicap or DV parking. WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote
Andy & Sheryl Unwin Posted September 18 Author Report Posted September 18 Looking at the responses quoting Florida and Miami-Dade statutes, this was an error on the part of the gate agent and not a procedural change. I do not have DV plates. (but I do have a Falklands Veteran sticker in the back window.) Quote
