Heymarco Posted September 4, 2024 Report Posted September 4, 2024 The port of Galveston Parking has Icon of the Seas listed as a ship for cruise parking, no dates yet though. They may have accidentally let the cat out of the bag. @Matt Any ideas? https://www.portofgalveston.com/9/Cruise Cakemeister 1 Quote
Jenn G-MEI Travel Posted September 4, 2024 Report Posted September 4, 2024 What we do know is that it is quite possible that an ICON class may be going there, but not for some time. fireclan 1 Quote

They don’t, but it was discovered elsewhere that Icon has monthly stops at St Maarten through Oct ‘26 then stops. Icon 3 begins monthly stops at St Maarten beginning in Nov ‘26 so putting 2 and 2 together leads me to believe Icon will be heading to Galveston at that time. Heymarco and SplashOfWater 1 1 Quote

I could make some snide remark about "Royal Math" where 2+2 does not necessarily equal anything recognizable but I will just leave it alone. Southern Dan Posted September 4, 2024 Report Posted September 4, 2024 I try to base my assumptions on logic but I’m wrong like half the time so my guess is as good as anyone elses! WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote

Southern Dan Posted September 4, 2024 Report Posted September 4, 2024 I am Team 2027 before I go on any Icon Class ships. I've just gotten back into cruising so I have plenty to see before I take the plunge! Quote
Matt Posted September 4, 2024 Report Posted September 4, 2024 Hmm, I'm not sure Galveston Parking is indicative of anything, but it's interesting. I also find it hard to believe the Galveston Parking is that much in the inside track of what the port will do, but who knows. Quote

This is where we need that meme from The Office of "they're the same picture" It's not just "Galveston Parking" it's The Port of Galveston Parking. Heymarco and Matt 1 1 Quote

Was coming here to see the same thing, it's not some random third-party company. It's the same government owned port authority that makes the ship schedules. ultimate_ed 1 Quote
