Erika1971
Sorry I accidentally posted on your page Matt! Just a question for the group - sailing on Oasis out of Port Canaveral in February. Is a 12:30 flight out of MCO pushing it?
coneyraven
The fact that they recommend you being at the airport 2 hours early, the airport is 45 minutes to an hour away from the port, and when you factor in the "Disney Set" (many families with young kids) which always seems to slow things up at security, you may be pushing it a little ..... just my opinion. WAAAYTOOO
When we're going out of Port Canaveral I usually book 2PM or later out of MCO. Would you make it ? Most likely you would....but it will be stress that you can do without, IMO ! EmersonNZ
mbk999
I agree that 12:30 is doable but likely stressful. You'd almost for sure need to self carry your luggage, then there's the transportation to MCO (uber? shuttle? rental). For a mid-morning weekend at MCO, security could be 45-60 minutes. KLA
You'd PROBABLY be fine if you did self carry and made sure you were early off of the ship and booked an early transportation or cab back, but it would add a lot of undue stress. I'd book something a little later.
fonemanbob
There are just too many intangibles that could happen. Too many what is. I.E. late docking, a hold on dis embarking, traffic, weather ,customs and so on. All of the previously mentioned facts are spot on. It is certainly not worth the stress or aggravation that could arise. You very well could make it by the smallest of margins. Booking a later flight is a much better piece of mind. Missing the flight and re booking is just not worth the headache, stress, arguments, etc.
DocLC
I've done non flights twice without problem, but that was with Disney Cruise Line and having the luggage checked in on the ship and boarding passes in hand. This was also on Saturdays, not Sundays. If Luggage Valley is available, you'd probably be fine, but I also imagine the airport is busier on Sundays, so I'd opt for a later flight for comfort from less stress. monctonguy
I have done it...multiple times.....HOWEVER,......I self checked off the boat and had a private car to take me to the airport. I would never book anything before noon as a rule... Of course its a chance as even a delay of a hr or somehow could cause you to miss your flight but...
