habeebster123
Hello, I know the standard protocol is to check in on the first possible day to obtain your boarding time. Are there any way we can secure the earliest possible boarding time? When is the earliest time possible to board? I do not want to pay any extra for it. Are there any way to board early? Linda R
Yes, do check-in as soon as it is open for your cruise to get earliest boarding time, usually 11:30am. If you are in a suite or pinnacle you usually can board a little earlier.
ScooterScott22
The boarding process is pretty set and standard, expect @twangster to provide full details and logistics. For and overview, as you mentioned get your earliest check in by logging in as soon as your window opens. Still expect that the check-in process likely will not begin before 10 am in most instances, and check-in/boarding can be delayed for many reasons. Boarding will only start once the ship is cleared. There is no early boarding. The Back to Back group will board first, next the Suites and pinnacles and then the key group before the general boarding. not easy being green
Also check-in recently is 45 days out and the "base time" is the time of the port that the ship leaves from ~ sometime the opening is not at 12 sharp, it varies sometimes. Be on the app/website and be ready for the earliest check in time. We are "batting at about 95%" of the time being able to board in one of the first groups. No matter what some people say I like this method more than the old way. Usually the terminal is not overly crowed anymore.
Ampurp85
I'm on Odyssey in November from Fort Lauderdale, the earliest time was 11am. Some will have 10:30 but you are still at the whims of departure guest. Late or stragglers can make boarding times change.
smokeybandit
Remember that's a check-in time, not a boarding time.
AlohaLivin
All the cruises I’ve been on in the last 6 months from FL have had the first check in time at 10:30 am (including the one we checked in for last night that sails in Nov). If you’re in a suite you can arrive an hour earlier than your time, but none of the cruises that we’ve been on recently had a time earlier than 10:30 am. Happy sailing
