KJ1231
I searched and didn't find an answer.... We had our May 2020 Alaska Cruise canceled and took the 125% FCC. The FCC now has an expiration date of 4/20/22. There's no way I'm taking the jab. Is it possible to get the 100% cash at this point? Has anyone been able to do this? For mine - we got $1,486 FCC in lieu of $1,189 refund (x2)
Pooch
I have not seen any evidence that, once the 125% FCC is chosen, you can change your mind and get a refund instead. Requirements are changing rapidly. Perhaps you can book something for closer to the FCC expiration date and hope things change in your favor. ConstantCruiser
Like many things Royal it never hurts to ask. I suspect they'll say that nothing impacts 2022 cruises so far (in terms of protocols) so no one is being prevented from using their FCC in 2022 at the moment but it's worth a phone call to see. CruiseGus
I also suspect that they are savvy enough when they do refund FFC for a current cruise affected by the protocols, that they will also back out the extra 25% they added before providing a cash refund
sk8erguy1978
From @Matt's blog post it looks like (if I am understanding correctly) your situation falls under "wait & see." Quote Ms. Yera-Rodriguez further clarified her statement, "If you're sitting on an FCC, you haven't booked it, you haven't done anything with it, and you're like, oh, I'm just reading that potentially, there are going to be vaccines required or I might have to do something that I don't like or agree with. Well, let's kind of wait it out and see what happens to your particular sailing, for what happens in the future. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/07/01/royal-caribbean-will-refund-your-future-cruise-credits-if-you-dont-new-health-protocols
