mom2mybugs
So my husband got the email saying our deck should board btw 3pm and 4pm. Since we have to check out of the hotel at 11, we have no intention of waiting! But how strict are they on these times? Jane
WAAAYTOOO
Not strict at all. The email with your boarding time is just a suggestion. They will not prohibit you from boarding. Feel free to go to the port as early as you please ! They have recommended boarding times to try and manage the check-in process but they do not enforce it. Matt
You can ignore that email coneyraven
fonemanbob
We like to get to the cruise terminal around 11 a.m. This way we beat the crowds. We get on board to schedule additional specialty dinners, and spa appointments. etc. This way we can check on any promos. and check out our M.D.R. table and make any last minute additions or changes. Then its off to the windjammer for lunch and we just kick back and wait for the room to be ready. By all means ignore that e mail. Getting there at 3 p.m. or later is a nightmare. Get there early so you can start a relaxed and stress free cruise. Enjoy your cruise.
KLA
For sailings departing from the US, these times aren't really enforced. I for one am a fan of getting to the cruise terminal as early as possible. EmersonNZ and DocLC
mom2mybugs
I totally wanted to get there early tomorrow, so thanks everyone for relieving my concerns! Jane
DocLC
In the future, it's likely they MAY begin enforcing this or a time pre-selected by the cruiser in the future. Both DCL and Carnival have gone to a pre-selected arrival time and I've heard reports that Carnival will not allow you to enter the terminal before your allotted time.
