You are receiving this correspondence because you had a booking with gift certificates redeemed as cruise fare, which was recently cancelled. As a good will gesture, we have issued a certificate for $250.00, a value equal to the amount of the gift certificate redeemed to booking xxxxxxx

 

When you are ready to redeem your Letter of Credit, please send an email to coupons@rccl.com including your new booking number, as well as certificate number xxxxxxxxx

 

Kindly note, the cruise must be taken by 08/05/2022. This certificate is only valid for redemption on a future Royal Caribbean International sailing and may not be redeemed for cash. The certificate is not valid on Complimentary cruises, Incentive bookings, or Charter sailings. As are all requests for reservations, the offered space is subject to availability, and from time to time, itineraries may be altered or services on specific ships may be discontinued.

I think the title is wrong, he does not give away the card, he sells it for 215 dollars

I would be very cautious of any kind of gift certificate. They have many restrictions and are difficult to use.
