CDC Lists Cruise Ships as Level 3

The CDC labeled cruise ships as Level 3 two days ago. I’m not sure if this was posted already, but this is huge for people whose jobs force employees to be in a 14 day quarantine after traveling to a Level 3 area. Hopefully this changes after the ships reopen.

The company I work for (about 4,000 employees world wide in manufacturing) is requiring 14 day quarantine for anyone returning from a cruise or the level 3 countries.  This only affected about 5 people, most of which are salaried.

Europe has been added to the list so anyone coming from there is required to self isolate for 14 days. My wife's company also imposed a 14 day quarantine for anyone coming back from anywhere outside the US.

Do you think with the 14 day quarantine, that RCL will cancel more cruises? 14 days puts a new spin on cruising.

I don't believe for a moment that any ships will be taking passengers in April..

Hey Purdue Flyer.  Boiler up.  I have a brother and sister-in-law (husband and wife) who are grads of Purdue Flight School.  That experience led to an amazing life for them and their family.  Sadly, we lost my beloved brother to ALS a few years ago.  Purdue was good to them.
