NancyL2648
There was another price drop this Wednesday for my cruise. Unfortunately (?) I paid off my cuise with my ta on Tuesday. I received the OBC but nothing on the price drop from my ta. Wonder if I screwed myself when I paid off my cruise in full this past Tuesday. Email sent to TA to see if she can get me the refund. What are my chances of getting a refund to my credit card for the price drop after I did paid off my cruise? Final payment isn't due till February 10th. Going on the May 10th sailing of the Oasis. Ogilthorpe
I have not had experience with a price adjustment after final payment, but it is an intriguing question since the final payment date has not passed. As an alternative if they won't adjust since you have paid: you may be able to upgrade your cabin for the same amount you have already paid. I have done that in the past when the price dropped and there was availability... at a better price than Royalup. CruisingKitty
NancyL2648
Thanks, Ogilthorpe. Sent an email to my TA...hopefully she will get back to me soon. Definitely the last time I will payoff a cruise before the final payment date. Neesa
icmartin777
I've had this experience. I phoned Royal and they cancelled my reservation for which I incurred a penalty then they immediately rebooked at the lower price. So, if the penalty is way less than the savings you might be able to receive some savings with the lower price.
icmartin777
P.S. But be careful, the lower price might not include the same benefits to you as your current reservation i.e spending bonuses. CruisingKitty
NancyL2648
This is so frustrating. Definitely last time I will pay off cruise before the actual final payment date. WAAAYTOOO, Steve L and Neesa
KJones
If you haven't already pre-paid gratuities, I wonder if you could have those added on so you would still technically have a balance to pay off, and could then get the adjustment? AshleyDillo
As long as you aren't prior to final payment you should be able to get the price difference as a credit (refund) to your payment method. They're not going to penalize you for paying it off ahead of time! Your TA definitely should be able to take care of this for you!
