Jami112
Advice Please! We (family of 4) are sailing in April (2020) with our next cruise planned for July 2021 to the Western Mediterranean on Harmony. Do I book the 2021 now to make sure we get our choice of rooms (connecting) which already appear to be slim? Or do we wait until we are onboard in April to get better Onboard credit? I’ve never booked onboard with Next Cruise before. Also, my in-laws will be cruising with us in 2021 but will not be with us in April. They will be cruising a few weeks earlier in March. So they would book Next Cruise separately then us.
GregD
The general consensus is book sooner than later because inevitably prices will rise, or the rooms you want may be gone. There could be a rise in price by the time you cruise that could offset any extra OBC that you may be offered, and your choice of rooms could be gone. Curt From Canada
Book now and then visit next cruise on board ... to see if you can do better. Hopefully, the best of both worlds. Curt from Canada Baked Alaska
SpeedNoodles
It's Wave Season now, so prices are pretty good - I asked myself this same question but opted to book now while I saw a price that I liked, instead of waiting until the last week of February to book at NextCruise. Plus, I suck at waiting. Balsam, KristiZ and WAAAYTOOO
dodgestang
I am of the opinion that if there is any a specific room you want.....you book as soon as you can. RC allows you to constantly rebook the cruise looking for a lower price. For example....I just booked a Dec 2020 cruise. I will turn Diamond on a cruise in April so I know I will get a bigger discount then. I also don't have any valid Casino offers I can apply yet to a Dec cruise....need to wait about another 6 months for that....but they had a room I wanted....so I reserved. It is also important to notes that if/when you reprice a next cruise you usually lose any OBC they used to entice you at time of booking on ship....and I"m not sure if they even offer OBC enticements to repricing of existing bookings when visiting next cruise. The only thing Next Cruise ever did for me was make it easier to find a ship/itinerary with specific rooms available....because I am usually flexible on schedule and where it goes....but like certain rooms
