The Cruise Junkie
Hi Everyone. Let Me Cut Strait To The Chase. Does Anyone Know Why Celerity Does Not Stop At Coco Cay And Labbdee Any More.
twangster
Does anyone know with absolute certainty? Probably not. We can speculate though... RCCL must feel that the better target demographic is better suited to Royal Caribbean at the moment. Perhaps sales trends indicate that Royal Caribbean cruisers are more likely to spend more money on excursions compared to Celebrity cruisers. I'm betting it's based on money and revenue. monorailmedic
During peak season in the Caribbean I suspect that part of it is simply scheduling. Another aspect is likely scheduling. When X does/did visit those destinations they may have had less favorable feedback than when RCI sails there. If more of it is around scheduling than feedback, then perhaps we'll see more private destinations in the works - or expansions of Labadee and/or Coco that would allow them to better facilitate multiple ships. twangster
Much like the question ... "Why do only Celebrity ships tend to visit Tortola?"
jagnew
They may be bringing it back as well... Just got an Azamara email (still cant get RC offers, but whatever) for Cuba itineraries, and one of the trips had a Labadee stop.
