My sister & I were on Odyssey back in Sept 2022 (Italy & Greece). We spent the day in Athens on an 8 hour excursion. Came back hungry thirsty and exhausted. We went to see The Effectors after eating and probably a few drinks. I couldn't tell you what the show was about because I fell asleep as soon as we sat down in the theater. I woke up just when the show ended

I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy IFly . I have done it on Anthem & Odyssey a few times. The first time I was terrified but was determined to do it again and loved it. I gave up on the signals and just had fun.

Congratulations on the early retirement! I always look forward to your blogs. They keep me laughing while I'm working (still have 2 years until I retire). I also looked into your Odyssey cruise (and the one going to Barbados also a favorite) but the solo prices were crazy for a balcony cabin.

I saw the premier access* pass for $15.99 yesterday too. I bought it for $17.99 the other day and went in today to refund it but the $15.99 was back to $17.99. Should have refunded it last night . I was too slow.

Happy cruise day! I hope you enjoy Alaska. My sisters and I went to Alaska on Discovery Princess in June and had a wonderful time.

We did the same excursion back in Sept 2022 and I was surprised that I enjoyed it. I never really wanted to visit Türkiye but Ephesus changed my mind. I could have spent all day walking around. We did wander around the the port shops in Kusadasi but didn't shop (I hate haggling with people). I did get some Turkish delight candy.

I have been sailing out of Bayonne since 2012 (Royal & Celebrity) and never really had a problem. I always get there before 10:30 so that I'm not waiting in a long line of traffic to drop off my luggage. Security and check in were always fast. Yes you have to sit and wait until 11:00 before they start boarding. It has been this way for a while both on Royal and Celebrity. The only time embarkation was a total mess was the first Christmas cruise after Covid (Dec 2021). The cruise was sold out, everyone showed up early, kids had to be tested and everyone needed to have their Covid test results and proof of vaccination.

OMG the drama! You are a saint for planning/coordinating all this. I wouldn't have the patience. My sisters and I went on Princess to Alaska the last week of June. Loved Seattle and Alaska. Not a fan of Princess but they go to Glacier Bay and they have mini suites (that were comfortable for 3 adults) and was within my sisters budget . You and your brother will have a wonderful time! Just watch out for in Juneau.

Have a wonderful cruise! We stayed at the Le Meridien Visconti Rome back in Sept. 2022 (Marriott is also my first choice). I thought it was a nice hotel, great staff room & bathroom was on the small side but I expected that. Walkable to almost all the sights (Colosseum was a stretch but with a stop for some gelato we had no problem).

I always have my e-reader (Nook) with me. Since I usually travel solo I'm reading it at breakfast, lunch & dinner.

So glad you had a wonderful 1st day in Bermuda. Bermudians are the friendliest people I have ever met. They love to be helpful to tourists and are proud to tell you about their island. Hope you have a great 2nd day!

If you take the bus to Blue Hole you can have lunch at Swizzle Inn and ice cream at Bailey's Ice cream shop (just an fyi cash only for the ice cream shop). Both are just down the road from Blue Hole. You can take the 10 or 11 bus out of the bus station in Hamilton.

Safe trip home! Thank you for your wonderful blog and pictures. I was in Rome for 3 days 2 years ago before my Odyssey cruise and absolutely loved it. Your pictures brought back many memories.

I loved the martini bar. Hung out there after dinner almost every night on the Ascent. My favorite drink was the coconut cream-tini. Eden was also a favorite during the day just for some quiet time.
