  1. Yes, you most definitely can. But it's more fun for everyone to have an interactive experience. Comes down to personal preference I suppose. For some, it's part of the vacation experience.
  2. Yes and no. Have you gone through one of @twangster's live blogs? It's a learning experience! Not just his, but every one of them. If people did not take the time to live blog, we all lose out. Just like we all learn and gain valuable info for our own sailings when people take time out of their vacation to do so. Not everyone wants to do it and that's fine, but the ones that do, many thanks! Sorry, that was off topic from the soda package.
  3. Or possibly the $8.50 before is again 20% off the on board pricing. I don't know as I usually don't pay attention much to soda packages.
  4. At 9:30am this morning, I did a quick traffic scan too from FLL to Port of Miami...it was estimated to be 43min. Thanks for the update! Enjoy your cruise!
  5. He needs a @twangsterbot Patreon account ASAP especially since some of those 2019 cruises are more exotic ones!!
  6. Not sure if it varies by ship but in my past experience, the minimum age is 6.
  7. Exactly! And if the ship is your destination (like how it is for some people) and it happens to include Coco Cay, then you're golden, more time on board! ?
  8. @jticarruthers Thanks so much for remembering to come back to share! How did you think their activities stacked up compared to RC (zipline, slides, etc.)?
  9. Ditto for March 2019 on Harmony.
  10. It is already higher on some sailings. If you look at the post by @CGTLH for his sailing, that cabana is more the $500! Not doubt it will increase.
  11. I really think it comes back to the mindset that cruising is suppose to be for the most part "all inclusive"...although that is proving over time to not be the case anymore. When a family of 4 or 5 goes to Disney World, you expect to pay everything separate...hotel, food, theme park tickets, etc. When a family goes on a cruise, they are already forking over a substantial amount on the cruise itself that it's hard to get away from the mindset that now a day at the beach is going to cost an additional couple hundred. Is this a complaint....not really. I totally see the appeal in this for some people. But I think it's about mindset and until some time passes by for this to be the norm, many will complain, and many will enjoy it. To each his own right? Off topic a bit, I had an interesting conversation with friends over the weekend who were trying to decide on a March 2019 cruise for their families of 4. And these are not people who are loyal to one line in particular. Trying to convince them to sail RC was most difficult, even with KSF. Why? Because, the first questions were, "Are drinks included?", "Gratuities included?", and now tacking on extra for the water park...possibly drinks too like @monctonguy mentioned. In the end, it made more sense for them to sail another line that included a drink package and gratuities and OBC all for less than RC with KSF! Now they can justify spending more for excursions. For some, it's going to be a hard sell for a while. For others, not so much. Going to stop now...I think I've gone way off track from original topic of multiple stops.
  12. Flights are almost identical (at least 2 days ago they were). The $100 difference actually comes from hotel and Lyft cost. Unfortunately, I don't think 4 of us will get able to fit in a regular Lyft (even with less luggage since it's a 4 day cruise) so we will have to get a Lyft Plus which will be about $72 each way.
  13. Maybe it's a sign telling you to stop! ?
  14. Did you fly into FLL or MIA? And we hate Pacific Mall lol!
  15. The soda package seems to have gone up in price for 2019 sailings. There was a thread a few days ago about it.
  16. I am trying to be helpful! lol
  17. @Wilson...I usually don't like to link to this but you can find a recent one here. It's from a few weeks ago. Came across it this afternoon.
  18. Can't keep up the pace huh? ? That is so exciting though...every ship in the fleet! So happy for you!
  19. Cause you know what's it's like to be stuck between bickering kids for 3 hours!! lol Thanks Matt!
  20. What time does the ship depart the following day? Could you explore a bit prior to embarkation? I would likely do the non-stop as well. Too many "what-ifs" with the other option, especially during hurricane season. But my opinion is also biased because I always choose non-stop unless there is no other option.
  21. You could be onto something as this has been our strategy too the last year and a half. The only exception was the SC suites because those disappear. The rest are JS bookings for now.
  22. I can hear the Fried Ice Cream and margaritas calling right now! lol
  23. Thank you for all the info Tony! We get off as late as possible lol. Don't laugh...it's La Bamba on Cordova Rd. ?
  24. ? but then the joke is on me as I have to sit with them! Thank you Tony. That is pretty much what I have read from doing my research this weekend. So what you are saying is just don't leave FLL earlier than that correct? If that is the option we decide on. What about coming back to FLL from MIA on the Friday? Traffic ok going northbound on a Friday morning? Thanks all for the input so far. This is great food for thought. @JLMoran, I'm going to test the 60 day flight plan ?
