I am 100% a fan of Oasis class but I did sail Anthem twice. The first blog, I compared it heavily to Oasis and it was out of Cape Liberty early March. Complimentary Happy hour in the suite lounge is usually from 4:30pm-8:00pm. Just to clarify, it's not cocktail hour in CK, it's only because it is attached to the suite lounge that you can sort of share that benefit. If you were on Quantum class, I don't think that would apply. The waiters in CK on Oasis class are usually pretty good about bringing the drinks over for you. If they don't, it's not big deal. It is literally steps away. Usually, I head to the lounge before Hubby and get a drink while I wait for him, and then order a second with the waitstaff at CK over dinner.

No. It's exactly as Joe described above. IIRC, the tribute band usually plays in the Music Hall.

What's the cost difference for the Royal Up? With a JS on Adventure, you get double points and a larger bathroom (with tub) and closet. I would bid if the cost was below $500 total. Anything more, probably not for a JS.

@WannaCruise book the 3 main shows first. Work around it after. It's not going to be the typical flow of Oasis class that you are used to. No headliners the nights that WWRY and The Gift are showing. Headliners in the main theater will fill the rest of the open slots. 270 will have Spectra and on nights where Spectra doesn't play, it will be some Vistarama or there were nights where it sat empty. Another option is to email Royal's entertainment department. They can probably give you a more specific answer as to who the scheduled headliner, comedian, etc. is. [email protected]

That is what I noticed when I started my preliminary research. I am torn between the two...I want to do both. The ship is in port from 7am-5pm and it's a Sunday. Not sure if that matters for things? Awesome! I will check it out this weekend along with re-reading @twangster's blog.

Which blog of yours had the St. John/Halifax info? Was it your sailing from Quebec last year? I cannot remember anymore.

@ptod what she said. Not sure about the benefits though. On all other ships (non-O class) they are a category VP which qualifies for full suite benefits. However, I have not really researched the new ones being added to Oasis so I don’t know off hand what category they fall under. But they most definitely are being added to the front of the ship.

Yes, unfortunately that timing isn’t going to work for us. It’s Canadian Thanksgiving and I would have to leave the kids while they are in school. We rebooked on Adventure for July.

Thanks! That is where I was planning to start this weekend. Good to know that I am thinking along the right lines.

Hubby and I are starting to plan our first Canada/NE cruise. Typically we don’t think much of excursions but this will be our first time at any of these ports and also our first with sailing this area. We are prepared to spend a significant chunk on excursions. Trouble is that I have no idea what the “most do” things are at each port. We are thinking more sightseeing because this may be our one and only time with this itinerary. What are your recommendations? I will take any. TIA ?

They may have been confused because with the revitalization, they are adding panoramic suites (no balcony) to Oasis and I am guessing Allure. They are not there yet I don’t think.

This happened to us for our Harmony sailing last March. No biggie. If you show up at the regular time, you will have to spend some time sitting in the terminal. I am of the mindset that is it better to sit in the terminal rather than in a hotel room.

Johnny Rockets is also an option for breakfast delivery (if you want the greasy breakfast)...
