Ships without Coastal Kitchen -- UDP?
Lovetocruise2002 replied to VTHappyGirl's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
There's not. That is why, over the last year, I have starting booking the Panoramic suites instead. Even though the are missing that balcony, it gets you full suite benefits. Usually they are not much more than a JS. On my Adventure sailing this July, and Liberty in 2021, it was actually priced lower than a JS. -
What’s included in star class on Oasis.
Lovetocruise2002 replied to Jax's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I prefer that one. That is the ocean facing one. The other one faces the sports stuff. Pros and cons to both. 1718 has a larger upstairs and 1720 has a larger downstairs. I will tag you in that other group. There is a fantastic comparison of the two. We had 1722 (which is 1718 on Oasis) on HM. See pics in my blog. We have 1718 on Oasis for the #majorstarclasstakeover cruise in 2022. -

Oasis of the Seas - Star Class - Royal Genie

I am going it echo what @AshleyDillo and @WAAAYTOOO already said. Cash and consumables work best. They have very little storage space. We put together a small gift bag for our our genie with some chocolates, organic soap, a notebook, and a stainless steel bottle. The bottle was personalize with one of her favourite quotes. Nothing was larger (in size) then the bag.

Totally personal choice. The general consensus is about $100 per person for a 7 night sailing. Some tip a little below that. Some tip way above that.

@SweetPea to add to that, if you have the drink package (which you would with star class) you can get liquor there all day as long as the bar is open.- 336 replies

You would like the Suite lounge and Suite sun deck way better than your experience on Anthem. Both the lounge and the sun deck have a bar which is different from Anthem.- 336 replies

The Holiday Inn in downtown Miami is right across the street from Bayside Marketplace. Super convenient and you won't need a car to walk to restaurants.

Oasis of the Seas - February 2020
Lovetocruise2002 replied to Pookie's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Allan is good (or so I have heard from many). He has lots of experience. He was a former concierge turned Genie and probably is one of the longest standing Genies that Royal has at the moment. Super sharp dresser (not like that matters lol) and he loves LV. I know you said that you have an ATS but do you mind if I ask what deck you are on? Trying to figure out what suites they have for myself...- 22 replies

Oasis of the Seas - Star Class - Royal Genie
Lovetocruise2002 replied to Pookie's topic in Live Blogs
@Matt moved it for you. No worries. People post things in the wrong sections all the time! lol -
Not sure why there wasn't. Perhaps it is left up to the CD and their staff? I hate that they moved it to the sports pool on Oasis class ships. When we sailed Allure in 2016 and Harmony in 2017, they hosted it in the Aqua Theater. When we returned to Harmony is 2019, it was at the sports pool. I don't even bother going when it's there.

Star Struck...Star Class on Allure 1/12/20

The Villa has nothing on the RLS! I just love Deck 17! But that should be an interesting cruise for us in December in the Villa. I will take lots of pics. We have the ATS in 10 weeks. Have you ever had that cabin type? -

I have a dream that one day I will be able to justify the RLS. And you all know what happens when I have a dream...? Very interested to see what happens with the liquor request. -
Royal Amplified refurb (Allure and Oasis)
Lovetocruise2002 replied to cwtom's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Most of the staterooms were not refurbished. Original decor remains. The only ones that looked different were the ones rumoured to become spa balcony cabins. -

Awesome. Correction though, sticker that comes with membership is what many of us have turned into magnet.

Things to do in Miami...

We like to walk to Bayside Marketplace. Easy 5 min walk from the Intercontinental and you go through the park.
