I have received a few price drops here and there for 2021 sailings. The most significant was for SY August 2021, almost $2000 on the RLS. But that was a few months ago. I feel like Freedom out of NJ for summer 2021 was priced really, really high off the bat upon release. Maybe that is the reason as well for the price drop you are seeing on Freedom.

FL cruises that leave on a Monday?

The short 4 night ones almost always leave on Monday. They do the Friday 3 night run and Monday 4 night run. -
What ship should we try next
Lovetocruise2002 replied to Leroyr55's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
@Leroyr55This is the most important piece of advice anyone can give you when selecting a new ship to try. My thinking is that any cruise/ship is a great one as long as you do your research and set your expectations accordingly. -
I'm going to go with @WAAAYTOOO on this one as well. Not likely they will be able to hold the entire event in your suite. That would be like asking for them to hold the sushi making class or guacamole class in your suite. I'm not even sure they have enough manpower to do that, especially during the dinner hours. Have you considered perhaps leaving your kids in Adventure Ocean for a few hours and head to Chef's Table without them?

Toiletries provided in Grand Suites on Mariner

If you are dealing with sensitive skin, you should most definitely bring your own products. -

Toiletries provided in Grand Suites on Mariner
Lovetocruise2002 replied to Bakerette's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
@Bakerette I too am very particular about certain brands over others. I always, always, always bring my own products. I think it is safe to say that you will not find any Royal toiletries (whether it's Gilchrist & Soames or some other version) to be "exactly the same" as the brands you have listed. The fact that it matters so much to you definitely means that you should bring your own. -
July 27, 2019 leaving the beautiful Port of Miami on Symphony. I never would have imagined that sail away would be my last one for almost a year and a half now. The saddest part is that I don’t know even know when the dry dock ends. ? However, with all the losses 2020 has brought, it has brought us many hidden blessings as well. It is important to fix our eyes on the little things in life.

Lift and shift question(s)
Lovetocruise2002 replied to Avatar133's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
When they first introduced L&S, they were very tight with the rules. Over time, from the accounts that I have heard about from others, they seem to have relaxed the rules that it does not have to be the same ship. In fact, there are a few people here, who have had luck switching from one ship to another. My thinking is, put the request in. It can't hurt. I know @WAAAYTOOO for sure has had luck with this. I think @SpeedNoodles too. -
That is a good analogy. I have a lot of savings accounts with Royal in that case lol.

If you cancel before you make final payment, you will get back (as an FCC) whatever you put down as a deposit when you booked the cruise. So for example, for my March 2021 sailing, for my family of 4, we put down a deposit of $1000 ($250pp) and we would get back $1000 in FCCs. You will not "lose" any of your deposit if you cancel under CWC, you would just simply not get it back as cash.

This is me today, while watching all the major US news networks...

Yes. Actually it was way more complicated now that I think of it. I had used an FCC (not covid related) to partially pay for my March 2020 sailing. That original FCC had an expiry of July 2020. We cancelled our March sailing under CWC and we got a new FCC with the old one rolled in. New expiry was now December 2021. We used this new FCC to pay for our August 2020 sailing and had to top it off a bit (that I mentioned before). Because Royal cancelled the August sailing on us, we opted for the 125% FCC and our re-issued FCC included the old FCC plus the additional 125% with a new expiry of April 2022 now.

I think it’s weeks as well, definitely not months. If it was months, I would have been able to L&S my own lost sailings.
