  1. Trying to figure out how to say this correctly! I appreciate they are trying to put our mind at ease with future cruise bookings , but how about a real sale on cruises. I have been looking at a number of cruises from July to November/2020 and the prices haven't budged!
  2. Let's hope that if we have anyone that has clout on this forum to share this great post with top management with Royal.
  3. We had to change stateroom on our past Christmas cruise on the Adventure and it was only three staterooms away. We became friendly with the stateroom attendant during the first part. She told us once the people left, it would be the first stateroom to be cleaned and by our luck, they were gone early. We moved everything our self and the process was done before we had to leave the ship for custom reasons. It really is a unique experience. Your are gonna love it!
  4. I hope so! Keep checking to see if they added it to the system. I only have a small window left in the summer to get our family cruise back in. My daughter reports back to high school early because of ROTC the first week of August! Currently looking at the Symphony for either 7/18 or 7/25
  5. Good Morning, With mixed emotions, I can say that today I received my refunds related to my cxl'd cruise on 3/15. The taxes were easy to tie back but the other amount I am not sure about! Are the taxes and port charges split?
  6. What do you think they are gonna do with the Oasis? I don't think the New York ports will be open before the South Florida ports!
  7. Good Morning to another week of waiting for my refund from my 3/15 and 3/22 cruise. I may have made this opinion or suggestion before but I need to vent decompress a little. If consumers are waiting for refunds from the 1st round of cancellations, Royal should waive any required deposit for a cruise that would need one. They know how much money they owe us so let them give a little. Or if a sailing requires full payment reduce the amount they owe us! Never gonna happen but hey, I can dream! Just thought of another way they could give us a little. If we book a cruise that requires full payment and the price goes down, they should honor this new price! Really, what have they done other then give excuses about the system and back log! Heck, I still haven't received the letter of apology, and I know they have all the necessary correct information to communicate with me.
  8. Let's just hope that Royal doesn't wait as long as they did for the last extension which brought it to 6/11!
  9. Tried to find a thread that kinda referred to current prices before starting a new one, Found this one. I would love to see RCCL start a new sale that really has some great prices on what's left to summer cruising. Let's call it "Let's Get Back to Cruising Sale". Enough of the "Up TO $200 INSTANT SAVINGS" and "OFFER ENDS TOMORROW MAY 5 2019" being a little fun with the date. I know that the return to sail date of June 12 might be extended again, but would think any money via FCC or new bookings could help the bottom line somehow. Question, on an Oasis class ship what do you think the % of passengers fly in for a cruise? The reason I ask is those individuals probably would want to cxl sooner then later due to flights and other arrangements. Or due to the current high prices, doesn't it mean people aren't cancelling and the ships are full from pre covid bookings? I am bored out of my mind today, its raining in South Florida and I don't feel like working out which is odd. If I am not making any sense Sorry!
  10. It was good to see that the apology letter was posted on this web site, as I have not received it via email. Thanks Matt
  11. I do read that some people think it would get in the way and you would be banging into all the time. Not the case on our side, I haven't even banged into it at night! Freedom back in 2018
  12. That just made me chuckle!! We have had a couple of times now! The only thing it doesn't have vs a JS is a bath tub and double points! Oh tea kettle too!
  13. Thanks Ogilthorpe for the calculation, 45 days since I was last on a ship! I think I jinxed myself when I call my topic "Oasis a Dream Come True" Ha Ha
  14. Yup, They were fast to fix the points(C&A) we received on a sailing that we never sailed on!!! Actually, it was quicker then when we get the points when we actually sail! And I can only count once or twice that my cruise was actually booked directly with Roya, so it would be interesting to see if anyone that booked like this has been successful with this process.
  15. We had the corner aft on the adventure this past Christmas, great stateroom. It wasn't a JS but the Pole room! HA HA
  16. Thanks for a topic that helps us keep our mind off other things! I'm horrible counting backwards! LOL We got off the Oasis March 15th!
  17. An update was just posted on another thread in regards to refunds and I am respecting that person was not looking for comments on that particular thread. Check it out! It does have some new and good information, however, what baffles me is the go to response that their systems could not handle a situation like this. How did they create an online process to apply your FCC so fast? Just imagine if they worked nonstop on the refunds, some of which are well overdue, the topic would go away! I am sure we would find something else to squawk about but could move on from this beaten topic. LOL Unfortunately, it's not going away until people get their refunds!
  18. Good Luck! In the same boat and we are reminded everyday to be patient!
  19. Just read that another cruise line (granted they only have five ships) will ONLY fully charge for cruises when it hits the 28th day before sailing. I hope this catches on with other cruise lines. Obviously, they can't seem to get our refunds back in a timely matter, they shouldn't take a dime from us until we are closer to the sail date! They should also allow us to reserve certain on board items from the cruise planner without taking payment. I am sure if the cruise is a go, they can charge under the 30 days or the first day on board!
  20. Would I be disappointed if they modified some of the perks, yes, however, I can totally understand why! They can do what ever it takes to get those ships sailing again. And once they rebound, I would like to see them back similar to pre Covid 19 levels. Hey, we can help out a little!
  21. Please No! We already have some heated topics on this blog. lol
  22. That's where I was thinking, maybe just making it beer and wine in the Diamond Lounge. I personally never go to the Diamond Lounge for breakfast, it's always on my balcony. LOL
  23. Do you see them modifying the perks for the Crown and Anchor Program once we get back to sailing? I think so!
  24. This response is not to hijack this topic, so if you all feel I should start a new one please let me know! Here Goes! When we finally get back to cruising, I would imagine they are going to make every penny count! Do you see them modifying the perks for the Crown and Anchor Program? I think so!
