  1. Great article: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2013/12/12/royal-caribbean-classic-savory-bites
  2. In the app, someone just failed at creating a graphical list for the app store listing.
  3. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/beforeyouboard/shoreExcursions/downloadBrochure/ might help give an idea. For the rest of the questions I can't really quote what Royal has to offer. Many years back when we did Alaska it had the land tour booked with it. Only deviation was at the end when we broke off from the group. The morning we would have had one last stop then motor coach to Seward, we opted to take the train in the early morning. At the time we had to book the train on our own.
  4. Would be AN_concierge@ or AN_concierge01@ or AN_concierge02@ Genies have a different email address format.
  5. Truly meaning canned, the same way as soda: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/12/13/royal-caribbean-updates-water-cans-enchantment-of-the-seas-repairs-and-more
  6. No, a Voom package is not required to used the app.
  7. MEI-Travel is the travel agency partner for Royal Caribbean Blog.
  8. Harmony uses tap style cards.
  9. $13 +18% $3.50 +18% a can Cappuccino: $4.25 to $5.00 +18%, depending on size
  10. On Wonder it was $15 minimum for blackjack and craps was $10. Three card poker and Ultimate Texas Holdem were $10 as well.
  11. Somewhat the sad truth... My poor MEI agent has dealing with so much fun with my last few bookings. She offered some OBC on a B2B sailing. Some how only a $2 OBC showed up for the first sailing, nothing the second. Tried all week long the first sailing to get the correct OBC to register. All hope was lost the second week. Hopefully, third time will be the charm and everything will be applied to my upcoming sailing... About that upcoming sailing, somehow in the land of Royal math $580 + $580 = $1060 when it comes to the Cruise Planner FCC. Bonus points a refund after final payment was made for some unknown reason. Extra bonus points, it was discovered a balance was due in the amount of the refund. I just hate to know how much time she'll spend trying to get all this corrected.
  12. Up to date in the eyes of the CDC is fully vaccinated and boosted (if eligible). Technically you can be up to date with no booster. Eligibility for booster: For Pfizer/ Moderna, booster after 5 months from last dose in two dose series. For J&J, 2 months after dose. For 5-11 group, boosters are not recommended at this time.
  13. Correct, think of it a three meals. I'd probably say 150 Central Park. Key reason 150 is unique to Oasis class ships. Chops, available on the rest of the fleet. Izumi sushi/hibachi, $35 is about what one meal with the package runs. Jamie's, can find it on other ships and I don't feel it is that strong of an offering unless you're after pasta or Italian inspired dishes.
  14. Still can't have the best of both worlds. Think what was trying to be accomplished was having Voom pre-purchased and then have the ability to add another device for a 24 hour period. Example: One device Voom Surf and Stream bought online. Then during the sailing a 24 hour period of Surf for a single device. Giving the opportunity to have two devices connected.
  15. Yes, and please do visit the bar. You can also order off the menu on the bar side as well, don't recall if full meal service would be available for package use. It was OK to use the Unlimited Dining Package on the bar side. The few time I saw it being taken advantage of was for multiple appetizers. Also the night before a sea day they had a late night menu with a few options. However, I didn't see the late night menu offered the second sailing. Yes, keep in mind the drink package will cover the first $13 for a glass of wine. If the glass is over $13 you'll pay the difference plus gratuity on the difference. Example: $15 glass of wine. $13 covered by package, $2 difference, $0.36 to cover the gratuity for the difference; total $2.36. Also remember with the drink package you'll enjoy a discount of 40% off bottles of wine under $100 and 20% off bottles above $100 in bars and dining rooms.
  16. Only outlet I've seen in any bathroom is intended for a low wattage device, example electric razor. I do recall one on Oasis and it was mounted left side of the vanity just about on the ceiling.
  17. Ahh, that would explain the VOOM desk visit. I've never tried to purchase an additional package if I already had a pre-paid one.
  18. Depends on ship still. All Quantum class ships use RFID/tap style. All Oasis class (exception of Allure) ships use RFID/tap style. Think Freedom is the only other ship using RFID/tap style. All other ships use the mag strip/swipe style cards.
  19. I've never dealt with the VOOM desk. I just connect to Wifi and follow the prompts to create an account and then specify what package I wish to purchase. Just remember, you can't purchase two 24 hour "packages" at once. They have to be purchased separately. Once the first 24 segment runs out you'll be prompted to buy a new package at next login. Packages are either "remaining voyage" or "24 hour access". On occasion the last day might have another package for 30 minutes or a hour access intended for use with checking for flights or other short term use needs.
  20. Keep in mind Allure still uses a swipe style SeaPass card. What this means is having the card in a pouch can be a pain, needing to remove it for room access or making purchases. Flip side, the card is safe to have a hole punched in it. Me personally, I've always had a bias towards a lanyard with a bottom removable clip: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B01DLMCH7W
  21. Yes, you get a credit of $51.98 that can be used towards Voom. 24 continuous hours of Surf access happens to be $25.99. If the data I have is correct, buying surf Voom on Day 2 should be $1.99 out of pocket for the remaining portion of the voyage if the full $51.98 credit was available.
  22. Designed to be an energy saving feature. Idea is you place a room card in a slot. That slot controls the master switch for the lights and AC temperature point. Remove the card, lights out and AC temperature is increased. Insert card, lights on and AC temperature set to a lower value. Most of the time I burn more energy. Always fun heading to Guest Services for an "extra key" when the door slams shut and you forget the room card.
  23. I'd probably call C&A and ask to have them shipped. Other alternative would be the Loyalty Ambassador onboard.
  24. I'm able to start the process now. Maybe it became available at 8am.
  25. You have to wait for the briefing to be released. Similar to the health questionnaire, you'll get a notification. Right now you can watch the videos, it just doesn't count yet.
