  1. Wondering if the verbiage change was due to people not respecting the no flash policy. Easier just to say no photos altogether.
  2. Hope you like towel critters, cause that is all this post will be. In the forward elevator lobby this is what greeted everyone this morning.
  3. At Captain's corner right now. Question about the storm and departure: Was planned to leave right when the storm was off the coast. They figured by the time they exited the bay the storm would be 60 miles to the northwest. Then the goal was to say in the southeast corner of the storm. Around 7am the jog to the west was made toward Mexico. Fleet policy is now to have extra food provisioned when sailing during hurricane season. Will also add it seemed to be one of the longer ones, right at a hour.
  4. Yup: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M6YTKM8 I have a few extras at home. Depending on if they fit in an envelope and a single stamp works I'll mail you a few. Won't have an answer until late Sunday.
  5. Time for the daily food post... Pizza of the Day: American Combo, yes that is what it was called. Next up: Windjammer Recon, theme "Mexican Night" Birds Eye view Wait, wrong photo... Here we go... Action Station (Churros), plus Carvery (Chicken) Bonus Seafood Station (Mussels, Scallops, and Shrimp) Hot Lines Finally Dessert Adding the the dessert subject, each night two different flavors of hand scooped ice cream have been offered.
  6. For a lanyard in general I like the ones that have a removable bottom section. Great to just unclip and hand over just that part.
  7. Unless it is some funky pouch that is very thick or has some sort of blocking feature. I've never had to remove my card from a basic plastic pouch on those ships.
  8. Great man once said, "I'll be back". In this case, end of September. I'll make sure to get some pictures.
  9. First time in Costa Maya. Don't know if it due to the two other Carnival ship or just timing of getting off. Have to say the port complex area is a mad house.
  10. Daily food post... Pizza of the day: BBQ Chicken Compass Deli: Venture to say the selection is the same everyday. The case sandwiches are different between the afternoon and after dinner time. Now for Windjammer Recon, theme "Latin Night" Both rounds of trying to get pictures Windjammer was busy. Think so far the busiest has been the first night. Birds Eye View Action Station: Crepes, Carvery: Roasted Pork Loin Build your own tacos or fajitas Pie for dessert Been keeping this in so far, but I finally need to vent. Selection wise in Windjammer at night, not all that impressed. I will say what I've tried has been good. One disappointment I've had is the lack of some type of Indian dish at night. I understand due to the size of the venue space is at a premium and not all tastes can be satisfied.
  11. Random find, TV in the room has an accessible HDMI port. Controls on the TV allow the input source to be changed. Was able to get an Amazon Fire TV Stick connected for streaming. Video quality isn't that great however and is buffering.
  12. Not much to say right now as we sail away from Cozumel. Guess everyone was back onboard well before 9:30pm. Think we had started to pull away from the pier 5 minutes early. For now I'll post some shots taken before it started getting dark.
  13. Top Tier breakdown Crown and Anchor members onboard: 1,001 Number of Top Tiers: 371 Platinum: 141 Emerald: 74 Diamond: 85 Diamond Plus: 60 Pinnacle Club: 11 Most number of points: 1950 For those that reached milestones they got their block at the Top Tier event along with a nice certificate and photo taken. Blocks awarded (4) 140 x2, 210 x1, and 560 x1
  14. So I eventually got off the ship around 11:45am (ship time) and, stubborn as I am, walked downtown to save the taxi fare. Made a few stops along the way and eventually wound up at COZ Coffee Roasting Company Enjoyed a Spiced Iced Coffee and the AC after all the walking around. Since the last time I was there on the side with seating they have added a window plus plastic curtains and now has AC. Side where the order is placed and the magic with the beans are done it is still open air. After enjoying my spiced iced coffee wound up heading back to the ship, this time in a taxi. At the pier I've notice another new addition since January, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. (Technically I saw it from the ship for the first time) Figured I'd get the new view of the Cozumel sign. One positive thing, it blocked most of the view of that other pier...
  15. Made it to Cozumel early, started docking at 9am with clearance at 9:30am (ship/local time). Will be the only ship at the pier. Would have had an Oasis class (I think) with us if we docked tomorrow. New addition at the pier since last time I was here, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Think last time in Cozumel was in January.
  16. Haven't forgotten about the Windjammer Recon either. Tonight's them was Italian. Start off with the bird's eye view Next up is the action station (pasta) with Beef Wellington as the carvery item. Shots of the three hot lines Finish up with the dessert island Observations about Windjammer tonight, very very empty. Tonight was formal night so I'm sure that explains it.
  17. Sorry for leaving everyone hanging. Been having a relaxing day and poking fun at a few random observations. First the key question I'm sure everyone is wondering about, the weather. To sum it up, perfect. No rain, very little cloud cover, and temperatures have been warm but not roasting. The ocean does have wave activity but overall motion has been minimal. Arrival into Cozumel is planned for 12pm ship time (time change of an hour roll back will occur at 3am Wednesday), ship per compass the ship will be cleared at 12:30 pm. Time for all guests to be back on board is 9:30pm. The original time in Cozumel would have been 7am to 6pm. Heading back to the room tonight some creatures had escaped their rooms and were chillin in the elevator lobby/stairwell. In the Centrum at 11pm was the 70's Street Party Compass Deli after 9pm: Same spread as last night. For anyone wondering, the speciality pizza of the day was "Meat Lovers". Must be a popular topping, one of the Diamond/Suite Event hors d'oeuvres... On the subject of the Diamond/Suite event. Last night first thing it was very crowded, tonight (just before 6pm) very few people.
  18. On an Oasis class you also have to into account side. Becomes a very long walk when your on the starboard side and end up walking all the way down the port side. -Trust me I know, on multiple occasions...
  19. Boarding documents all indicated "suite". So far out of all the times I've been in a JS they have boarded with the other suites. At one time in Port Canaveral they were differentiating between Sea class vs Sky and Star Class. That has since change.
  20. Should demand a refund! Neither one looked like their pictures. On a second look, don't they both look exactly the same between the two pictures? (other than the cherry). Darn lazy marketing company.
  21. First off, that picture and room layout would be a Grand Suite. Can't really comment anything more than @kontraxed stated. Will add the JS bathroom on Majesty is tiny. Think it isn't much bigger than one in a normal stateroom.
