  1. At the point of general boarding, waiting for our Genie to escort us on.
  2. Agree about holding on the cabana already booked for Labadee. When it comes to ships that are part of the Royal Suite class program the cabanas on Barefoot beach are locked out prior to sailing until the Star class folks get first dibs. Sure putting in a request with concierge would at least get you added to a list once they're released.
  3. Sure, request might be better suited once the Genie has reach out. Also, if I'm recalling room service normally brought a tablecloth and set the table every morning automatically. Now with the surge, protocols might be a bit stricter and adhered too. Worst case, you can request one when arranging your breakfast order with the Genie.
  4. This point I'd either ask for a refund or let my credit card company deal with it.
  5. CSO had a conditional term that allowed an exemption for masks if certain requirements were met. At 95+% vaccination rate masks wouldn't be required anywhere. With lower vaccination rates special designed vaccinated only areas could be defined where mask use wasn't required. Where the second part comes in to play is the CDC has an order requiring the wearing of masks by people on public transportation conveyances or on the premises of transportation hubs to prevent spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. What I'm guessing is the CDC still trying to force the new program on the basis of having a mask exemption policy. Somewhat the same stunt the CDC tried to pull when the their appeal to was turned over. At least that is what I'm thinking it means.
  6. Wonder if Royal didn't remove it from the FAQ: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/can-i-book-back-to-back-cruises-at-this-time Nothing in the FAQ gives me the impression it is on consecutive cruises on the same ship.
  7. Might be able to use the "Add Guest" function within the app. Asks for last name, DOB, and reservation number. Then you should be able to pick just the "Arrival time" option.
  8. Teppanyaki/Izumi Hibachi has a $10 surcharge, $15 if selecting two proteins/meats. If ordering sushi as part of the meal it wouldn't be included and you'd be charged menu prices. Izumi Sushi, either $35 credit or you can order a small plate, two large plates, and dessert. Chef's Table has a $50 surcharge. At Chops the whole lobster entrée would be extra. Might get push back if trying to order two entrées. For Giovanni's and 150 Central Park the menus have nothing that'd be extra.
  9. Under "Account" in the app it should list your OBC. The OBC should be listed as either refundable or non-refundable. As charges are made the onboard account the non-refundable OBC is applied first. Any remaining refundable OBC can either be cashed out at Guest Services or will applied back to the card on file. Casino and pulling credit on the slot machine works well also.
  10. Can't answer why the eDocs aren't available. If all you're after are the luggage tags, check "View boarding pass | Edit check-in" section. For the quote above, congratulations on the upgrade. 99% of the time when one is expired and the other is pending and can't be modified, the bid will end up being accepted. On the Harmony GC our bid was in this state until it was accepted. The acceptance occurred two days out.
  11. From what I've seen floating around compensation will be both 100% refund and 100% FCC. FCC needs to be applied by May 31st to a sailing no more than a year from cancelled sailing. Seems the generous offer only applied to the upcoming sailings this weekend. For later sailings it would be 125% FCC or 100% refund.
  12. Probably still in the process of completing the moves. The initial email when sent mentioning the ship change stated the moves would be completed by January 14th. In my case, I was notified the 5th of the new room. Decision for changing ships or not is January 10th.
  13. Sure, that would work. The bottles don't have to be packaged/wrapped together.
  14. These wouldn't be allowed. Per Royal's policy: Guests may bring non-alcoholic beverages as carry-on items on boarding day. Non-alcoholic beverages may not exceed 12 standard (17 oz./500 ml) cans, bottles or cartons per stateroom.
  15. For the most part, no cheese or hot oil involved. The pot is a soup/broth base that everything is cooked in. Depending on style of restaurant the raw proteins (meat/seafood) are ordered while the vegetables and noodles are done buffet style.
  16. Appointments for pre-cruise testing outside the terminal open 30 days prior to your sailing date — guests will not be able to book prior to that. To book an appointment for a pre-cruise test outside the terminal, please select the port where your cruise will be departing from. Port Everglades | Cape Liberty | Port Canaveral | Miami | Port of Tampa | Port of Galveston | San Juan | Los Angeles Ref: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-if-i-dont-find-a-pre-cruise-test-or-get-test-results-in-time
  17. Great switch! Be sure to read over the Live Blog section. Also remember Genie's aren't mind readers, communication is key.
  18. Another method if using a debit card would be setting up as a cash account. Once onboard I think the spending limit is either $300 or $500 depending on the length of sailing. This point I'm a bit fuzzy on. I know if the limit hasn't been reach by the end of the sailing you can visit Guest Services to paydown the account using a debit card. What I'm not sure if during the voyage the limit is reach if you can use the debit card to pay it down and have it remain as a cash account until the next time it needs to be paid down. The cash account method would prevent the holds against card plus the combined final charge. What I mean by this is if during a 7 night sailing $100 in onboard charges are made each night this would result in 7 $100 pending charges, plus a final $700 charge. Result is $1400 in pending charges initially, $700 will become a completed charge while the remaining $700 pending can take well over a week to drop.
  19. I'd think so. Best to think of it as one appetizer plus two rolls for a sushi lover. Example: Crispy rice spicy tuna (SP), Izumi Ryu Futomaki Roll (LP), assorted sashimi (LP), plus dessert would be a lot.
  20. Oasis, 2BRATS hands down if comparable costs. Plus I'd favor having Playmakers over Sabor. Flip side Oasis has no Wonderland if that was something you were wanting to try. However, Oasis is the only ship with Portside BBQ. Only other dining nuance I can think of would be Giovanni's Table vs Jamie's.
  21. In my own past experiences with Playmakers you have to tell them you have the dining package so you don't get charged. I'd also assume they'd ask prior to using one of the dining credits. From what I recall nothing noted about having a dining package when they first start processing the charge.
  22. Currently there is no reserved seating. Exception for seats reserved for Star class guests. Reservations are a requirement and the concierge can, and think does automatically, make reservations pre-cruise once they reach out.
