  1. Enjoy! No better way to build even greater excitement right before a cruise than to get information like that!!
  2. Just repriced my June 2019 Harmony sailing. Cruise fare stayed the same but the OBC offer went to $125 from 50. Finally a promotion that is actually saving me some $. Deluxe bev package discount on June 2018 Oasis and now this. Granted, it’s not much but at least it’s something!
  3. The only thing I have been monitoring the price on is the deluxe bev package. Our June 2018 Oasis package did drop to $45 from $55. I wasn’t monitoring any of the other cruise planner prices. The DPB is the only purchase I was making if it the price dropped. Luckily, it did because I was starting to wonder.
  4. My June Oasis Cruise deluxe bev. dropped to $45 from $55!! Just what I’ve been waiting for! Scored two
  5. Thanks for the info. We are fine with a regular interior but since the VB is priced lower it is a no brainer to try. Glad to hear you liked it.
  6. Just got some clarification, I think! Called in and RC rep said it’s a CP window view. I stated that the website and the previous RC rep states it a VB. He said I’m looking at the booking and it’s a CP view. I asked the he double check because of the conflicting info. He spoke to a manager and confirmed that it is a VB so no CP view. In place of a window overlooking CP, it’ll be a VB. So this time the website is correct and the booking is listed wrong. It even confused the second rep I just spoke with. Now that that is all cleared up, I went ahead and put a deposit down. Now wondering how we will like the VB. Also, surprised that it is cheaper than a regular inside stateroom.
  7. Well I thought I previously said I was reading into the booking too much! Getting old fast
  8. Exactly my thought when I said that maybe I was reading too much into what the booking stated.
  9. Yes you are correct. It definitely runs along CP and according to the deck plan it would seem to a view of CP. So maybe instead of a window overlooking CP, it has a VB view instead? But the booking states CP view. If I decide to book I’ll get clarification. Thanks Sabrinaklai
  10. Does anybody have any experience in a room of this type? It’s a Harmony inside stateroom category 2s room 9179 Central Park view virtual balcony? I’m kinda confused on the virtual view. I asked the RC rep what might be a silly question- Is the virtual view of the Central Park or the ocean? She politely laughed and said it’s the ocean. My booking states Central Park view. I’m confused! Any help is appreciated
  11. Considering a Harmony June 16 2019 sailing. Inside virtual balcony( booking states Central Park view?) for less than a regular inside. Never had a virtual balcony. Price is less than I have ever seen for a Harmony summer sailing. Other intriguing aspect is that the itinerary hits two places we have never been, Roatan and Costa Maya. Plus, the new and improved CoCoCay and Cozumel. Wasn’t even considering booking until I saw the price and itinerary. Got a 24 hour hold to think about it.
  12. The others in our group were lower level C&A and we’re not allowed to join us in our emerald seating/waiting boarding area. When agent wasn’t looking, the others joined us.? Nobody seemed to care after that point.
  13. I’m thinking of the public Junkanoo Beach when we visit Nassau in June. We just want a simple beach break. Short walk from the port so transportation not necessary. The reviews are mixed but after researching I think it’s worth a try. Was considering the colonial Hilton until the price went. Junkanoo is right next the colonial hilton, I think.
  14. I’ll be planning the same as soon as southwest opens new flights(Nov 2) for our June Oasis sailing for a group of 5. For us it will depend on our flight times. If we get in early the day before, then we will look to make a beach day out of it and will look to stay near the pier in Cocoa Beach. Late arrival, then will look for a reasonable room near the port with dinner options. As far as transportation, renting a car seems to be a popular option. Especially if you are arriving early the day before and can use the car for other purposes. I have done this there long ago and it worked out fine. But there’s plenty of transportation options. To say what’s best depends on what your plans are for the area. In our case, the flight times will dictate where we stay and our transportation needs.
  15. I’ve seen this with their pricing on many things. They advertise a price and their calculations doesn’t add up in the end. Way too many times for it to be just mistakes. It’s deceptive and flat out wrong! Can’t sugarcoat it. You hear complaints here but not often as you would think. I guess we just chalk it up to “it’s just Royal being Royal!” I don’t like it but I continue to book with them. So I guess I shouldn’t complain! Lol
  16. How about the pool deck? Since the drink packages started, pool deck bar service is almost nonexistent. If you do catch one you might not be thirsty by the time you receive you drink. Not a fault of the server. They are just overwhelmed. Back in the day they were all over waiting to earn additional tips.
  17. If I see $46 for my June Oasis sailing, I’m jumping on it! That’s the sale I’ve been waiting to see. My guess is that you won’t see it any cheaper on a Oasis class ship.
  18. I probably check it weekly. Sometimes less because nothing seems to ever change when I do check it. Especially the price of the drink package!! ? I think it’s because of the ships and sail dates we have picked the last couple. Harmony and Oasis with summertime sail dates.
  19. I book inside staterooms, except for once on a Carnival cruise. Was offered a upgrade to a balcony for a reasonable amount and booked it. Was initially worried about moving up, although slightly, and not wanting to go back. I enjoyed the balcony more than my wife but it wasn’t enough to keep booking them. The balcony did nothing for her. I’m sure suites are a whole other level. Probably will never experience them. Even if it was in our budget, we probably wouldn’t see the value for the extra cost. That’s just us. The only thing I take into consideration when picking a room is it’s location. Prefer to be near a stairway. As far as flights, it has to be nonstop for me. I fly out of Pittsburgh so that is a challenge. Typically, the fare is between $600-900 for 3 tickets to the Florida ports.
  20. I do something similar before every cruise so I don't think you are crazy! Or maybe we are both crazy! lol The last cruise I set a goal of losing 15 lbs. with 15 weeks to go before sailing. I succeeded but it wasn't easy.
  21. You are going have a awesome time. WARNING - Once this bugs bites, it bites hard!!
  22. My TA just repriced our booking under the non refundable deposit. It's my understanding that you can reprice your current sailing but you can't change to a different one.
  23. Well said. Yes, it is only a few dollars and won't hamper my cruise as well. Sometimes it's just the principle no matter how big or small. I will reach Diamond after this cruise(not sure why that milestone ever mattered to me) and will definitely explore other lines each and every time I plan out our annual cruise. RC is still my preferred line and who knows if I'll ever stray. I do know that I'll definitely be looking around. I never tried handling it myself by calling RC since I have a TA. I figured it best to let them try. After that failed I just moved on.
