My thinking is -they  are currently minors and can not legally be bound by a contract. And yet, they can be issued a FCC in their names to be used by them because they will turn 18 in November? And yet, they can not use this FCC without me being involved. So, why can their FCC not be issued to me? 

So I will receive 4 FCC and two will never be used.  I was planning to take  the two teens  FCC and apply it to a cruise for 2021 with my DH.

I did not realize the policy for FCC and minors and am disappointed in RC’s policy.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Apologies for my rant and ineloquent explanation. Just fuming a bit at the moment.     I was going to suggest get a refund but I realize you canceled before they made the next round of announcements.. So never mind that won't work.. Sorry about that

But the rest of your total isn't refundable until the cruise line actually cancels the cruise. I feel like your phone rep gave you bad info. I mean I hope you do get your refund but it doesn't make sense.. Royal is only offering FCC or lift and shift for the cruises they have not yet canceled..

Well she can gamble. Casino is open to 18 year olds on cruise ships. She can go to all the bars and nightclubs just cant drink. She can go to adult nightclub that's also 18 and older. She can obviously see all the shows and entertainment. Can go to hot tubs at night I always seem to see people her age in the hot tubs at night. I mean she really can do anything people over 21 can do except for drink. Also I don't know if she wants to hang with 17 year olds but she can always try to meet them right outside of fuel and then suggest they all just go hang out somewhere.. I don't think the teens really stay in fuel anyway I think they quickly meet there and then go in groups all around the ship..

I have a Thanksgiving cruise booked for Symphony but I have a Strong Feeling it will be canceled. Holland America and Princess already canceled their cruises through December 15 so its not looking too good.

We have a scheduled cruise December 27, 2020 but looks like if it does sail, it will be changed itinerary and very restrictive rules.  Not sure I want to spend so much money and be limited to options and ports. Any one else have a scheduled sailing on the Oasis of the Seas holiday trip to the Caribbean?

I strongly suggest you Lift and Shift to next year.. The chances of your cruise happening at all is so small.. I was in the same situation as you. I had a family cruise booked on Allure for Dec 27 and then I lifted and shifted it to next year on Odyssey of the sea Dec 26.. I got a fab deal because I got to move to a brand new ship still during the holidays and they locked in the lower price so I can now go on Odyssey for the price of Allure

Do the lift and shift. You do not have to pay the difference that's the whole point of lift and shift it locks in the lower price.. I lifted and shifted our family New Years Cruise.. We were supposed to be on Allure of the Sea Dec 27 and I was able to lift and shift to Odyssey Dec 26 2021 for not 1 penny more. I got a fab deal as Odyssey was worth $1000 a person more!

The only cruise I currently have booked for 2021 is Dec 26 on Odyssey which I strongly think will be a go. Its my annual family cruise that I had to move from this year to next. Not really a gamble though because I don't have to make final payment until next Sept and by then I think they will know what's going on. Plus I am not paying for it lol my in laws are paying lol

I have a thanksgiving one that I am pretty sure will be canceled and I am so sad about it. First time Casino gave me free holiday cruise and I cant use it lol. I am spoiled. I live in South Florida so as soon as cruising resumes I can go on a cruise right away but until then I am not booking anything because I don't like having to get disappointed over and over lol. I hope your Feb cruise is a go. I will think positive thoughts for you too!

I disagree. I Think cruising will begin again in April 2021. I think there is a reason Odyssey is delayed until April and I think its because that's when Royal really thinks cruising can start. I also think that's why the casino started sending out offers starting in April.

Sadly I think November is going to be a No go. Princess and Holland America already postponed until Dec 15.. I am sad I had an awesome Thanksgiving cruise but its looking bad.

Like everyone explained slots will get you there faster but I don't like slots that much. I don't ever really win lol. I am a table game person and last year on my birthday cruise which was only a 3 nighter I got about 2500 points but I basically spend 3 days in the casino at all times and I lost like $3000.. So yes it could possibly take a significant investment. Recently since there have been no cruises and I keep going to Vegas I have switched from playing blackjack to Pai Gow Poker. I lose less money in that game so easier on my budget but I don't think cruise ships have that game so once cruising comes back I will have to go back to blackjack.

Its very simple. You have to spend a lot of money in the casino. I would say on a 3 night cruise you need to spend between 1,000-2,000 dollars... So you see its not really free we just pay for our cruises by gambling instead of the traditional way lol.

I was also surprised lol but when I thought about it when I used to call to find out which ships qualified for which offer they would email it to me thus I would have their email address anyway lol so to me its no different than that but still she is very nice and easy to deal with.

I have found one of the "Oregon" reps that I really like. I said to her I wish I could always deal with you. She said take my email address and anytime you need me email me and that way I can call you and get you booked.. So if you find a rep you really like try that and see if they will give you their email address..

They quoted prices and then when we called back 15 minutes later with everyone's passport name and DOB the price had doubled. We waited on hold for 2 hours to be told that they would not honor the price we were quoted. No supervisors were available. The phone representative was not at all concerned when I could hear him as there was so much noise in the background. 

 

This Is sadly very common with Casino Royale reps.. Just an FYI for next time. If you get someone on the phone and they give you a deal you like do not wait. Book Immediately. I understand you needed everyones info but next time have it in advance because this is very common for Club Royale. It all depends on who you get on the phone. And one person can offer a wonderful deal and the next person will not honor it. Its not fair but it is the way it is with them.

Ive never seen this before. Either the whole ship is booked or they’ve already sold a certain percentage for reduced capacity. 
 

Now for my May Symphony in 2021, lots of interior cabins available.

I think it depends.. I am on the Odyssey Dec 26th 2021 sailing and I just checked and you can still book inside cabins. So I guess it just depends on the sailing.

Are you trying to check in via the website or an App on your phone? If your using the computer you need to stop lol and switch to the app on the phone because it works so much better.. If you are using the app then I am not sure lol

I have seen lessons.. The tournaments is hit or miss.. I did happen to see it on upcoming symphony cruise actually.. But they don't even run the tournaments on all cruises.. For Instance on all my navigator cruises they don't even have black jack tournaments. I asked the casino host why and they said there isn't demand for it on shorter cruises.. So who knows why its not showing up in your cruise planner.. But its not because they are getting rid of the casino. If you want further clarification why don't you call Club Royale and ask them about it?

They have never had tournaments for the casino listed in the cruise planner. Right now there are no talks of casino's being closed.. It is quite possible that there will still be no sailings at all in Jan but that's a different story altogether. Also the casino keeps sending me many offers and they wouldn't do that if they planned on closing the casino.. They wouldn't give comped cruises out if they were planning on having casinos closed..

But you're right.  There were no offers for a very long time.  I saw ours on the clubroyaleoffers.com site and called them...and booked...and then yesterday I got an email.  First one I've gotten from Club Royale in a very long time

Also got the offer for Q2, and Q3.. Was just curious about everyone's opinion.. Do you think They think cruising won't start up again until April and that's why we got those offers rather than ones for say Jan-Mar? That combined with Odyssey starting in April made me possibly think Royal thinks April is their target to reopen..

certain casinos.. I only played at the Strip.. But all MGM casinos, All Caesars casinos, and the Venetian all had this policy.. As for the Masks that is a state law they put in place for now
