  1. The bus rides depend on where your excursion is located. For example, the bus ride to Tulum was 60-90 minutes; when we did a Cenote excursion the bus ride was approximately 40 minutes. I highly recommend Dramamine prior to the ferry ride from Cozumel to the mainland. Even people who don't usually get seasick can have issues on the ferry. ?

  2. For Nassau:

    1. Is Blue Lagoon Island worth the excursion (Blue Lagoon Island Deluxe Beach Break With Lunch)  I've done two different excursions to Blue Lagoon Island - a Dolphin Swim and the Beach Break, and enjoyed both of them. It's a pleasant boat ride to the island, with the captain narrating and pointing out some houses owned by celebrities along the way. The beach is very clean and well maintained, with plenty of lounges and sunshades, and everyone who works there was always super friendly and helpful.

    2. Are the shops close within walking distance from the Pier where the ship docks? (Thinking about maybe taking the wife walking and sight seeing/shopping as she has never cruised at all before) There's a shopping area you literally have to walk through to get on and off the ship, and then if you venture into town you can shop along Bay Street, and a bit farther down Bay Street is the Straw Market.

    Hope this helps! ?

  3. Hello!

Congrats on your Oasis cruise - it's my favorite Royal ship! 'Worth it' is subjective, but I can tell you that you will never be disappointed in a meal at Chops. The service and food are both excellent, and it's a 'never miss' for me. I also agree with @Pima1988 that the 3-Night Specialty Dining package is the way to go, especially on a ship like Oasis with so many amazing dining options. If you decide to go for the 3-Night, you may also want to check out Giovannis and 150 Central Park. Have a wonderful trip!

  4. I agree with everyone who said take the connecting room over the room below the pool deck. The connecting door will have a lock on your side, and the one time I had a room below the pool deck I was woken up at 6am because of deck chairs being dragged around. Nobody wants to wake up that early on vacation! have a great time!  :)

  5. Hi - My 5-year-old daughter and I will be sailing on the Majesty of the Seas on April 22 (3-night Bahamas) - it's our first cruise and we're very excited. I'm just looking to connect with other cruisers (any age, with or without kids) to have a few acquaintances prior to sailing. Would be great to hear from you!

Hi! I won't be on your sailing- just wanted to say welcome and congratulations on booking your first cruise! Royal Caribbean is a great choice - have a wonderful time!

  6. In my opinion, as long as you can book two staterooms with an inside connecting door (not adjacent or across the hall) it's worth it for the two bathrooms. I would definitely want that connecting door to the kid's stateroom. Having two teenagers myself, I know my only hope of ever having any bathroom time at all is having my own! Plus the extra room is really nice if the kids like to stay up later watching TV, etc. Have a great time!

  7. I have a husband who refuses to dress up on vacation, so I understand! As others have mentioned, they do have a dress code, but it's mostly just a suggestion, not really required. I saw men in khaki shorts and polo shirts in the main dining room each night of our cruise. Specialty restaurants are stricter with their dress codes, and formal nights you may want to just visit the buffet.

    Have a great time!

  8. Hi! You will love cruising on Royal Caribbean - great choice! I actually just got back from a RCCL cruise that visited Key West (Brilliance out of Tampa) and we loved that port! One shore excursion I definitely recommend is the Hop On/Hop Off Trolley- we did Old Town Trolley and it was great for getting an overall tour of the island, plus makes stops at or near all the major tourist sites (Southernmost Point, Hemingway's House, Duval Street, Mallory Square, etc.) You can get on and off as often as you wish throughout the day.

    Have a great time! :)

  9. "We are celebrating my daughter and her friend's high school graduation, will RC do anything for celebration or recognition?"

Hi! You will love cruising on Royal Caribbean - great choice! Regarding your daughter's graduation- have your travel agent request (or if you've booked direct call RCCL and request) a small celebration cake (complimentary). This will be served in the dining room

If you visit this link: https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/royalgifts

You can also order things like flowers, room decor, cupcakes, etc.

Hope you have a wonderful time!

  10. Hi!

My name is Jacki and I have recently become a huge Royal Caribbean fan. I live in upstate New York where winter lasts WAY too long every year, and sometimes the only thing that keeps me going is the thought of my next (or planning my next) cruise! I really enjoy reading everyone's posts and look forward to participating more!

    Jacki  :)
