  1. Yep...got me, too. I really do love my watch, though.
  2. When we go back on Oasis in Nov, I'm just gonna straight up give Tricia a $20 with my first drink. She was awesome in Jan, regardless, but I was tipping on the receipt and I doubt she got all of it. Solarium, here I come!!!!
  3. Now THAT was a fun blog - thank you so much for sharing! I kept having to revise which of your photos was my favorite, but I think I'm going to stick with the one of your beautiful daughter dancing in the gazebo. What a fine looking family, and your kids are adorable. Thanks again!
  4. 46 days..... I enjoyed Oasis so much in Jan that I had to book another. Last time we were in the aft section of the ship, but I loved the Solarium so I booked much closer to the bow so it would be a quicker walk. Also, it may make it easier for dinner to elevate from up front and walk to the MDR. I hope you have a wonderful time and I will be glued to this blog! Agree with mbk - great to see my man rjac posting! Praying for you and all of your ENC peeps.
  5. I hope I'm not being premature, but speaking for us in the Charleston area, we seem to have been spared the worst of Florence and I don't think we'll get a lot from her. I wish I could say the same for all of the folks in eastern/central NC, upper SC, and eventually western NC, VA, WV, and possibly even into the NY area. I'm praying for the best outcome for all (He already was merciful enough to downgrade her before landfall). Now, let's get the next 50 days over with, hurricane-free, so I can get on Oasis and finally relax!
  6. Thanks, bud. She is so hard to predict, but I'm afraid that eastern NC is going to get soaked. Us, too, possibly, but I'm relatively confident that we'll be fine. We may lose power, which will suck, but it'll be all good. Thanks, y'all
  7. Well, all this time I was pretty confident that Charleston would be spared from Flo, but that scenario is looking less and less likely. Now I find myself in the uncomfortable position of determining whether we stay or leave. I still don't think we will get hammered, and am still leaning toward sitting tight, but there is going to be a lot of rain coming to us, and I have a lot of very tall trees around my house. So perhaps I need to go stay with rjac!!!
  8. I sure hope y'all have gotten out or will be evacuating soon. I have been, and will continue to pray for your safety and for your homes and belongings. This is gonna be a tough one, especially for central and eastern North Carolina. Somehow, it appears that we in Charleston have dodged a serious bullet. My office has closed down until Monday - man, I sure wish I could jump on a ship and enjoy using up my vacation days. Stay safe and Godspeed
  9. Yeah, that was ignorant of me. I've only gone out of Port Canaveral and I guess just kinda assumed that most folks drove to their port of departure.
  10. We took tour 2 in 2016 and even though my back was killing me, we still had a great time. Going back to SXM in November, so I'm sure we'll probably do it again. Hard to beat!
  11. I did this in January (I believe taking a cue from you). Unfortunately our server, for some reason, waited until we were nearly finished our dinner the next evening and I was already pretty full, but I did try it and it was excellent! Wish I had known... They really are such good people, and seem to take a lot of pride in their jobs with our satisfaction being their goal.
  12. I've heard that the upgraded toiletries are super nice - just what you need for all your manscaping needs!!
  13. Hi Chris I see on your blog comments that you are currently not working aboard. I wanted to say thank you for posting your extremely interesting and enjoyable insights and I hope life treats you very well! Don't be a stranger! Dave
  14. Thank you, Sabrina! Your blogs are top-notch! Your mentor-bot must feel like a proud papa!! And thank you for being a teacher. The dedication and love you all have for your profession is an inspiration!
  15. We don't have a set itinerary, per se'. Probably hit the trellis bar on our way to the Kummelwick shop, then up to the Solarium, where I plan to spend a lot of time during the cruise. As soon as I get the squirt when I come on board, though, all bets are off!!!
  16. Your nails are slammin! I love the colours and am going to suggest them to my wife for our Nov. cruise. I always enjoy your dialogue when you post; probably more than the pictures. I hope y'all are having a blast!
  17. I think that's what I would like to do when we go. Walk around and take it in, maybe hit the rum factory, and I'd love to find a really good lunch. Then probably back on the ship for some lazing around.
  18. ...tis but a twitch! One of my biggest conundrums is where to have my first drink. In Jan, it was the Champagne bar, because it was the first one we saw as we stepped onboard! I like the Trellis bar, but I looooove the Solarium bar. Regardless, it'll be early!
  19. I don't know why, but it really bugs me that RC charges $3 for a container of popcorn. I mean - other than a pot of rice, is there anything that costs less to cook??? Loving your pics!
  20. Suite Snobs! I like it. I need to find a name for us poor peeps who cruise down here:
